Throughout this journey, I've learned a lot from all the revered members here.❤️

There are many ways that educators can demonstrate their support for LGBT students, from responding to anti-LGBT language and behavior when they witness it to advising students.

Thank you, Lizzie, for sharing your experience dear. ❤️

LGBT students need to be treated with respect, on par with all the other students. Such guidance will display positive images of LGBT people, helping them to feel supported and safe in their schools.

Thank you dear! All of your questions and the conversations have also enriched my knowledge about the community.

Accept, appreciate and validate everyone you come across! There is so much diversity in this world, appreciating it will only be helpful for a better living experience! 💖 Spread love!! 🌈🏳️‍🌈💖

I am sure homosexuality was depicted in ancient world just like it was depicted in ancient India through epic stories like Ramayana and Mahabharata.

What baffles me is, when and where did this dislike emerged from?

We can't help what happened years or centuries ago.

What we can do now is, understand that all human beings are equal and each deserves respect just like the other one next door.

Kudos to everyone, who overcame the problem and made non accepting others realise their mistake. 👏

Salute to you all.

Cheers.....

Colonization. Europeans were not very open to the idea of homosexuality as it is seen as sin according to Bible and they couldn't believe that we had an entire community which held important positions in royal court and held a lot of power and prestige.

They brought in the criminalization of homosexuality with the laws, which was very recently abolished (Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code is a section of the Indian Penal Code introduced in 1861 during the British rule of India. Modelled on the Buggery Act of 1533, it makes sexual activities "against the order of nature" illegal. )

The history is very complicated.

Thank you! 🤗
