Actually they could have shown this by keeping her Grey, that she is doing all these caz she really thinks it for Bon's bhalai, they could have highlighted how her thoughts are narrow minded in the absence of education, though she has power and authority she could not use it for betterment of even family members... I would love to see if she studies in India only and can give some speech as a student or honorary lecture in London college....that will be really prestigious in the era...We had govt./general law colleges in India, right? I think we are first in Asia to have it...

Ya in india if barristery colleges are there..then they will be good..but I think at that time it's not available right n india...in history almost every person who became barrister went to london and studied..

Sumati too might not forsee any security except a marriage for Bon..Anything else is against the norms , against what she witnessed and idealized in the society...She by herself is weak to be support system for her daughter, yet she cant come out of the rudi wadi parambara to trust her to Ani now..Its all around shadi for security

And it is for the same thing Ani and now Bon is fighting against..by taking away the RC tag of hers to be her by herself...The ways might have its challenges..there might be pitfalls in executing the idea..but the idea was all about this. And assimilating this idea would indeed be difficult for the society.
