Who was better in Karan Arjun?Salman or SRK?

Salman and this is coming from someone who likes SRK more. 😒

The only thing SRK did better in this movie was vibrating with Kajol without any vibration force being present

Keeping Kajol's head warm while she was doing WHO KNOWS WHAT

Almost making Kajol pass out from this nose poking her throat

I think Karan Arjun is the most important movie for Salman in the 90s . He had around 6 flops from 1992-1993 and HAHK was more of a Madhuri movie while AAA was a huge flop . Karan Arjun saved his career by showing he can do more than just romantic roles

Didnt Srk go into the film and come out of the film saying he doesn’t understand what type of film their making 😆

For a long time, I thought they are talking about Kunti's kids Karan Arjun

Salman wiped the floor as Karan. It's a rare instance where Salman, the actor, shone.

It also has to do with the fact that Salman had a stronger role. Karan's role was a weird one for Bollywood at the time. Ajay rejected Karan because he felt SRK had the author-backed role. That was common in Bollywood at the time.

Arjun was the one to first realize about their reincarnation. Arjun had a more significant romantic sub-plot. Arjun ensures that Karan realizes about his reincarnation. He's who brings together Karan and their mom.

On the surface, it appears that Arjun is doing everything. But in terms of plot and the Hero's Journey, which is all too common in storytelling, Karan had the stronger role. He had a meaningful backstory; his journey formed the spine of the movie; we saw his character arc evolve. In his second life, it was Karan who switched from being an anti-hero to a hero.

This used to be a major problem with Bollywood movies back then. A lot of times, makers would ignore the character's journey. That's where Salim-Javed excelled. They ensured characterization.

Karan Arjun is still amongst Salman's best performances ever. He absolutely smashed it as the pained young man undergoing an identity crisis.
