I still can’t comprehend what the role of Shagun is?

From the couple of dialogues given to her she seems to have some ulterior motive which she hasn’t acted upon till now. So when is she going to act upon? After shaadi or just before? If she just does before we all know Shakhi ki shaadi tho hokey hee rahegi... so what’s the use of trying anything before shaadi? Or will she act upon before And she’ll be caught. If so her role will be done...
