No one is above awards. If someone doesn't respect awards and chooses not to send his film entry then it is better to not include that film. That is National Awards policy too and it is high time other popular awards follow the same norm.

I am glad that IIFA took this step. Aamir gives two hoots to these awards and IIFA doesn't care two hoots about him or his film.

I'm really glad Aamir does not care about IIFA because any award that includes partner in the category of best film nominations has SERIOUSLY lost its credibility. I mean sure all the Indian awards are crappy already but how the heck do you include Partner and David Dhawan as nominees and get away with it? They copied it word by word scene by scene from Hitch. Who said awards are credible? 😛 The National Awards which went to Saif Ali Khan for Hum-Tum is not credible either.

But I am glad that IIFA took this stance and it is high time all popular awards with credibility or not 😆 take this step too. Actor, films or Awards nothing is indispensable.

I know we are talking about Hindi films and awards but what about Academy Awards? How did they overlook all brilliant performances of Denzel Washington and then gave him an award for Training Day? The year when they decided to award all African-Americans at once; kind of some compensation. The award was actually plain insulting.
