Thoughts on IPKKND Instagram Reunion

Happy Ten Years IPKKND family!

I cannot believe it's been a decade

To many more years of Rabba Ve and magic

I just finished watching the live and I had a few thoughts for it - first of all the biggest thank you to our dearest Aabhaas Mehta urf Shyam Manohar Jha. He is genuinely the fandom's darling.

(Only positive thoughts kyunki 10 years anniversary!)

- WE STAN AABHAAS MEHTA AND Shyam Manohar Jha (talk about being the spirit for the show)

- Barun's white chikankari kurta... hayeeeeeeeee

- Akshay squealing and posing for being called 'hot'

- Akshay delivering the most important dialogue Akash had - "Bhai"

- Dalljiet loving Anjali and especially the mandir chote-di scene where he asks her to come back home

- Dalljiet's giving he most realistic answer to what Anjali would be doing after 10 years "Single, childless, eligible bachelor" - totally lining up with our vision of rockstar Anjali!

- Dalljiet laughing that Anjali always carries aarti ki thaali!

- Sanaya hoping to write something like F.R.I.E.N.D.S for all of them so as to they can act together

- Aabhaas ready to pay everyone and declaring he's not too expensive to convince everyone to act together

- Sanaya and Barun laughing over ASR's rise and fall of vehicle choices. Barun adding that anymore he'd go from helicopter to moped.

- The entire case of slaps where for solid five minutes Akshay and Barun tried to mehta-phorically slap Aabhaas (where Aabhaas quipped that he, aka Shyam, is used to being slapped at this point and that Shyam is still getting slapped after 10 years)

Imagine a weird and wonderful AU where Shyam, again, is gathering everyone together to discuss the wonderful love story so Khushi (forgetful, excited and just the prettiest) is yelling at Arnav to shut up because he seems very dedicated to 'disrupt' the stage given Akash's influence (who has no idea why he was called here from America), Anjali candidly chatting about life/singlehood/being most wanted kudi, teaming up with Khushi to scold her brothers to shut up and the two not yet figuring out why Akash and Arnav won't let Shyam speak.

ohmygod I caught it and good lord the chaos that was ensuing! Barun and Akshay kept talking over one another and over others but literally felt like watching old sbb/sbs clips!

Ahhhh I would love a sitcom-esque glimpse kind of thing from this cast. They have amazing chemistry. I secretly feel we might actually get something along those lines at the most unexpected time. the FRIENDS reunion was out of the blue too. ahh, one can hope but the video was so heartwarming.

Sanaya trying to moderate questions was so funny. No one besides Daljeet was taking her seriously! 😆

ohmygod ok when Barun denied anyone saying Akshay is hotter than him, I kept comment Akshay is hot lol. very shameless of me but gotta state them facts sometime! aahhh, the chicken ka kurta was really pretty, the Kurt and the man both!

You're right, today is about celebrating what the show means to us and what the people we've met through the show mean to us. I shall be waiting for a OS on that AU!

These guys are a riot when they're together. I'm guessing Daljit may just have heard of Anjali being called 'Pujali' 😆 Shyamji toh chhap gaye dil par after this!

That live was so so SO CHAOTIC 🤣 but I liked how natural it was, without,for example, a Gul to structure and repress their actual selves! They were uninhibited and chill and authentic.

Barun and Sanaya were by far the best parts of the live, followed by Aabhaas and Dalljiet. Barun's sense of humour is everything 🤣 "Pehle hi din helicopter mein daal diya mujhe, main gareeb aadmi". And the "SHE'S ACTING FROZEN, ullu bana rahi hai humko" something when Dalljiet lost her connection 🤣 And his random "mukka maar duga" 🤣 I LOVE this man ❤️

Loved when they all sang Balwant Kaur! ❤️

Don't want to add negativity but as fun as Akshay was, I didn't exactly like how condescending he seemed towards IPK at times 😬 But otherwise it was a lot of fun.

The Griha interview with BS and SI was fun too! My god, the way they keep on pulling each other's legs. Barun is a real Chandler 😆

As an ipk fan i mean as the show s fan i loved the interview last year that gull wala ..where they talked all bout the show and more about show and less of themselves

As a sarun or offscreen ipk fan this was also treat .. i felt bad for akshay where everyone had something to remember from their scenes he had none his was the worst written character of ipk after mama ji 🤣 .. but it was cute ... abhas was my favourite in this interview

I exactly felt the same.i rather went back and watched gul one after the live. No matter how much I love watching all of them together and sticking with each other for a decade,i wanted the live to focus mainly on IPK.i agree it's been over 9 years since they last played their character,so it was quite natural for them to have vague memory regarding the show but I genuinely wished they could really talk more about good memories of the show (than the loop holes)and had a structured questions like the one with Gul.

Also I was watching FRIENDS and I found each of the pack of wolves member resembles the characters in some way or the other(not the relationships)

Indeed - it was a chaos but it was lovely, in a way, to see their bond and friendship over years!

Clearly this is a group well set for a sitcom! I hope Netflix/Amazon makes a good Indian sitcom and hires this group because the camaraderie would clearly reflect on screen.

Lol it's a good thing you commented! I was about to comment that they're all hot - a major reason why we also saw the show 😆

Shyam ji is fab - also wasn't he our quintessential lady killer (literally and mehta-phorically)? Be it Bua ji, Dadi ji or scorpion ji - he could charm everyone (except Khushi ji, lol)

Indeed it was! Yes, it's very nice that their friendships have lasted so beautifully and it's also something that connects the fandom together (in this fandom a lot of people have also developed strong, long friendships!). And the uninhibited nature of the live also made it feel very personal.
