I mean Sam's nuances and her pain was visible, rather than shouted out (Mayuri's kyun kyun still hurt my ears while I am writing this). Sam knew she was wrong and actively as willing to work on it when Veer showed her that by not moving on from Kartik she was almost killing herself. Here even Malini looks fake and I dont think that even if the whole world comes to her to ask her to move on, she will be able to forget Adi and actually move on. Sameera was an unlikable character that was made endearing and vulnerable by Harleen, while Malini's character could have been redeemed if Mayuri could have added more nuance or some kind of layering that would help us connect with her in some way.
As for BBB, like you said I have connected only with the first 2 seasons, and there also the first on the best as that gave a beautiful arc over the 10 episodes, that i feel was a bit let down in season 2. I just could not get over how much Sam was willing to put her head in the sand just so that she would not have face the feeling of genuinely feeling in love again, but atleast watching Harleen and Vikrant made connecting with their flawed characters that much easier. My worry is that Malini is going the Sam season 2 way, but she still is just not able to sell it to me.

i am not comparing but when they give justifications of malini invested yada yada so i feel that was what their expectation was but their reality is this BS Presentation which is why i said Inspired by.. there is no comparison caz harleen Freaking lived hat character and sameera was so Aware of her Own shortcomings wanting to leave them behind.. I do not have an issue with 2 i understood where she was coming from in self-preservation and what she was doing so i loved it equally

This. This is what is missing in Malini's character. That woman is not willing to introspect and understand her own shortcomings, and is happily willing to paint someone else as a villian. First it was her mom who was ruining her marriage by filling her brains with unnecessary "shak". Then it was Imlie who would not listen to her and would interfere in Adi and her married life and did not have "manners". After that it was Adi who replaced her with Imlie (of all people - her dialogue) and made her the second woman in their lives. Now it is her father who has betrayed her and her mother due to which she now has to give haq to Imlie as her half sister. I mean for her the whole world is wrong and doing injustice to her while she is doodh ki dhooli. Her lies and manipulations are okay because they are for the greater good. Her impulsive actions of attempting suicide or forcing her father to tell the truth is okay. My concern only is that why are other characters not pointing this out to her. How is it that only we as viewers are able to see this, but people around her are not able to give her the truth to help her evolve. This is the main thing that is annoying me especially when I see that there is so much nuances in both series, yet these things are overlooked to justify the actions of one character to prop her up for no reason.
