Though she may have meant well, this kind of behavior is not normal. In real world, this treat is also considered as domestic violence. This would never fly with me. I'd become Rishita in this case. Dgara totally takes advantage of Raavi.

Man just thinking about it more and more makes me sooooo mad!!

Hope there's uproar again on SM on that dialogue.

I haven't fully watched the episode, just bits and pieces... but @bold, I think this is the start of how the makers will try to make Rishita seem a bit more realistic and likeable (don't particularly like how they ruined Dhara's character in the process though) as Rishita is the only one who has the guts to find faults with Dhara. Raavi is too nice, and the boys are too brainwashed to think otherwise. And it's clear Gaumbi has no reigns in the relationship when Dhara is angry...

Reading all the analysis on Dhara today just is heartbreaking. I was hoping she would be shown in better light today, but it seems like the makers are dead set on Suman delivering the final blow to her (something else that I don't really like either, I don't think an elder should always point out someone's mistakes, especially since the said elder always makes threats of kicking Dhara out of the house. I think it would've been somewhat realistic if Rishita spoke to Raavi about how unfair Dhara's punishments have been and of how brainwashed their husbands are as a result of this all, and both of them try to speak to Dhara; however, knowing how Dhara responded, she might just threaten to hit them 🤔)

Dev just blatantly ignoring Rishita's burnt toast was just plain rude. He easily could've taken out money, much like Shiva, and suggested they eat out at some dhaba for breakfast if Rishita wasn't confident in her cooking skills. And as Nupur mentioned previously, Shiva needs to do a little bit of growing now. Previously, it was Raavi who wasn't giving him the time of day, and now it's Shiva who isn't letting her take a breather.

The writers seem dead set on taking everything to the extreme instead of portraying all the characters as gray characters...

Sometimes, I wonder what if this conversation thread didn’t exist. I would be raging mad all the time 🤣in real life. After ranting, it feels better.

I'm almost wanting something extreme to happen because of Dhara's actions. How can someone walk around thinking this is right?

Exactly! With intial episodes where Dhara made them clean house after they mad mess, when I saw them trying to cook for Dhara when she was upset, albeit messy, I thought they'd know something.

She definitely didn't raise her kids well. Being a good parent is not about loving and mollycoddling kids. It's about raising them well with teaching them to be independent. Raising them to be adults. She gravely failed in that department. If Gaumbi's the only good husband then you know Suman raised her son well. And Dhara failed to make them realize value and importance of all relationships in their life.

Meanwhile, in the original, Kathir (Shiva) recently cooks for the family... even if Shiva and Dev can't cook, they totally could help in the kitchen some other way. I had no knowledge of cooking 4 years ago when I lived by myself, but YouTube taught me all I need to know. I would tell the characters to pull up YouTube, but I forgot they are stuck in the 70s

Maybe Dhara should follow Prafulla's raising style. I would say Raavi and Anita (after her marriage was broken off, of course) turned out pretty alright
