Same reason Laxmi was a hit - no films from big stars are releasing in theaters even when they were releasing (except in The South) in theaters. Very few are releasing on OTT. So when they show up on OTT with months between them instead of say a week or two - it's an event. An event with very easy access where you don't have to leave our home - a home you're basically trapped in anyway.

If both those films had released against each other in the theaters as planned on EID 2020 - with other films releasing before and after - it's doubtful either would have been as successful as they were on OTT.

But it shows that even on OTT, big stars are still big stars. Content is not as claimed - king.

I'll watch it when I figure out how. Not sure where it's streaming in Canada. I'm stuck in a lockdown and honestly I'm fine watching some mindless entertainment. Of course it won't be cinematic excellence, and I do wish he made more movies along the lines of Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Sultan, but honestly speaking I find critically discredited films entertaining as well.

Critics are entitled to their opinions but they seem so judgmental of the audience that they do enjoy these movies. They are so pretentious and I find that annoying. Like it's a movie, not a doctoral thesis, and I don't think a movie choice is reflective of someone's intellect.

Yeah, critics opinions are meh sometimes and don't align with mine. But usually audience reviews are a bit more authentic and relatable.

I was disappointed with Radhe. I watched Race 3 to laugh at it and it did entertain me a lot. I laughed at almost every scene. Radhe was boring compared to Race 3.
