Salman movies are like Stephen Chow movies except unintentionally. I doubt in Race 3 the flying suit is supposed to be a ridiculous comedy prop, it's supposed to be cool. But everyone thought it was stupid and laughed at it. So it fails its purpose. I doubt Salman walking in with glass in his mouth is also meant to be comedy. Lately all his movies, almost beginning till the end is unintentional comedy. We laugh at things that are not supposed to be funny and don't laugh at things that are meant to be funny.

What's your point?

Did the trailer promise better than what the movie delivered?

Indian critics don't understand the concept of genre

Yeah, but even masala movies have a certain standard which Radhe has failed to meet. Wanted was masala and was pretty well received by audience and several critics.

The trailer sucked but critics still would not want to miss reviewing/watching a big Salman Eid release. They have a right to their opinion but I don't think it matters to Salman one bit. He did what he did, his fans liked it, he got paid, the end.

Wanted was a decade ago when critics critiqued as a job, now most critics roast movies and if it is a masala like Salman movie or Tiger movie, they get an amazing opportunity to increase views

Your question about watching the movie on basis of reviews fails as people who want to watch the movie will watch it, Critics as you know couldn't miss roasting a Salman eid release

I guess I don’t understand your point either. Are you saying that if a trailer looks like a bad film and the actual finished product is in face a bad film that critiques should forget about it being a bad film and praise it for delivering on what the trailer promised?

I won't blame critics for roasting majority of the movies they roast. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

There's a portion of people who watch movies despite the reviews it receives but some people do value critics' opinions even if Salman himself does not. Some people may not value critics opinions but values other audience's opinions before giving a movie a watch. So I'm not sure what you mean...

😕😆

No what is your point? Critics shouldn't call his garbage films garbage because trailers already indicated it was garbage. Critics understand genre. I don’t think they are the confused ones here.

Learn something new everyday. Today I learned if a trailer warns you the movie is horrible, critics must stop themselves from criticizing the movie. 🤣

Yup

You didn't understand my point

The trailer gave away everything about the movie, Critics praising it or dissing it, doesn't actually matter as people who want to watch this type of movie will watch regardless of what Critics have to say

When they say that the movie disappointed them, I don't understand this because the trailer didn't really promise a good movie

Sometimes trailers are misleading. I've watched movies where the trailer sucked but the movie itself is good and vice versa. As for Radhe, I would say the movie was MUCH much worse than the trailer.

It’s not playing near me. Not that I’d go to a cinema these days. I don’t have that streaming site. I guess I’ll wait for it to get on Netflix. But I will watch it. I need to know why it broke the streaming sites on day 1 ❤️
