The news outlets are not lying, the international media is not making up the tragedy; they do not have to, because they gain nothing, no body wants India to fail in becoming a world power, the reality IS dire and tragic. India has to look inward for responsibility.

All I know is that in a crisis everything gets disclosed and the curtains are drawn in a way that shows the harsh realities, all covers are stripped away and you see what is gold and what is junk metal. The authorities in India ARE corrupt, that is not new. Some more than others, the UP gov. is a big example of the corrupt and the hypocritical, that group is as dirty as a trash dumping ground, no wonder our resident evil is so up close and personal, wanting her legal cases transferred there for manipulation. I am not blaming anyone for the C-19 virus, not the gov. and not the victims because it was created elsewhere but they have certainly made huge mistakes is dealing with it, when you see political parties covering things up to the extent they are doing this and when you see them associating with an illiterate, hate monger who seems to have her a.s in place of her brain, then you know that people are in trouble because the leadership is messed up or confused or whatever . People maybe followed the lead that if the government was exporting the vaccines out for $$ and having rallies then everything was ok so they did not take the situation seriously. I was appalled when I read they had exported their vaccines, wrote about it too!! and I was not a Modi hater and I am a nationalist. Every leader in the world has to say MY country is first on my list! otherwise they are useless.

Now I just pray
"GOD make it stop" , please help the innocents who always get the brunt of the problems, WHO CARES! about image, the world already has made up their mind about India, now the country has to get out of this precarious situation and minimize the damage. I HATE self serving people and I hope this will be a huge lesson for the country that they must wake up from their stupor and stop idolizing fools and snake oil Sams. It will be an expensive lesson, attained with blood and tears, make it worthy.

UP is underreporting the cases and deaths heavily , their medical system was completely crashed and people in remote areas aren't even getting any treatment.

Will pray for everybody....but not paid MEDIA

Covid: Fears of 'impending doom' in Pakistan

And now cases are on the rise, hitting record highs this week. The funeral pyres burning just across the border in India are a stark reminder of just how quickly matters can escalate when it comes to Covid.

Already Pakistan has seen active cases go from as low as 16,000 in the first week of March, to more than 140,000 new cases in April alone, as well as over 3,000 deaths - making it the worst month since the pandemic began.

How did Pakistan get here?

One of the key drivers which led Pakistan to this stage was the arrival of the UK variant, as confirmed by Umar during second week of March. He later declared it to be more dangerous than the original strain.

But the variant has collided with something else: apathy.

"After the second wave, people thought this is it, it's over," says Dr Seemi Jamali, executive director of the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), one of Karachi's largest public hospitals.

"There was barely anybody following standard operating procedures (SOPs), such as mask-wearing and maintaining social-distancing. Even in the hospitals, people are just not careful."

so there should not be a religious angle on either side of the story, not in the government, or the reporting. this virus knows no race, religion, creed, class, the tons of people going to Kumbh Mela later in this apocalypse are to blame as are the people having their iftaar parties, as are the people fleeing to other countries and taking it with them. people should stay home and stay safe.

but the schadenfreude moment that people are having and using to benefit themselves is also wrong.

As for Nepal, I have lot of friends over there. Currently most part are in lockdown. The daily cases over there is hovering around 5K-6K with population of ard. 3Cr. and death still below 50/day. The case seems to be high compared to total population but the condition is not as dire as in most states in India. People do obey to lock down over there.

Regarding China, all news are filtered by government over there so we will never know the for the fact total cases.

Some friends in Pakistan are reporting daily increase in cases, Govt. there had much time to prepare and yes, Chinese and US vaccine were already there before India. Pakistan is ramping up vaccination to its citizens. The cases might be rising there, but its not as steep as in India. They believe the cases will definitely come down soon as the vaccinated people immunity starts working after a week or two.
