The situation is so bad that I don't think anybody knows how to deal with it. The numbers are underreported so we have no way of knowing how many people are dying or how many people are getting affected. I could die tomorrow and I will only be a statistic, a number. That is what life of a person has been reduced to in India and we can't even protest. We're not allowed to protest in our own country.

THIS. Numbers aren't accurate because we aren't exactly sure how many people are suffering.

Not just that. I got to know today from my parents that the doctors are not putting Covid as the cause for death in the death certificate or whatever the document they give while releasing the body. They are simply mentioning - heart failure/lungs failure etc but not Covid. May be they are just acting as per the orders from the powers! 🤢

Ah ok. Still don't get why anyone would think being poor or starving enough to accept rice as payment to be a slur, but it tells us enough about the people using it, I suppose.
