Still remember how Amir Khan was treated when he said India is intolerant. I don’t expect the celebs to speak up anymore.

Why does everyone cry about the celebs?We didn’t vote for them nor are we paying them to work for us. How come people are mum about Modi and his chelas? How come the majority of the country is not taking to whatever means they can and create a huge noise against the Governments who got us to this stage? How come Modi only has interest in saying ‘his man ki baat’? How about for a change he listens and pays attention to the ‘Jan ki baat’?

Links are probably helpful but PC's tweet to Biden was brainless. India doesn't *want* vaccines. Why is she begging for vaccines that India doesn't want and won't accept? Pfizer and Moderna have been in discussions with the Indian govt for ages and offered to provide vaccines but India won't take them.

She has this perennial need to jump into any trending topic for clout whether it makes sense or not. Beg Modi to take the vaccines if you have the guts and tag him instead. Surely she must have some connections considering she got him to come to her wedding when she was sucking up to him.

Virat, Akshay, Ajay, Sachin and the whole sanghi brigade came running when Rihanna posted about farmers' protests and put up hashtags like #IndiaAgainstPropaganda. All of them were screaming about how foreigners have to stay out of Indian affairs. Now the whole country is gasping for breath and relying on US, UK, UAE, etc. to come to their rescue.

I hope you realize that if someone speaks up and the BJP starts flinging fake cases against them, the general public will also turn against them. People believe anything bad first and foremost. Imagine if Salman says something and they get someone to file a rape case. You think the wokes are going to support him? Nobody would stand by him. They know this so why will they get involved? The middle-class voted for these @ssholes so now they should figure out how to deal with them instead of crying for help from celebs.

Well said. Rihanna's tweet was a national threat and now when the whole country is in a crisis they're acting like nothing is out of place.

The situation is so bad that I don't think anybody knows how to deal with it. The numbers are underreported so we have no way of knowing how many people are dying or how many people are getting affected. I could die tomorrow and I will only be a statistic, a number. That is what life of a person has been reduced to in India and we can't even protest. We're not allowed to protest in our own country.

If they can speak about farmer's protest then they can also speak about this. I'm not asking them to donate or get hospital beds or medicines, I'm asking them to raise their voice or lend their voice to the collective voices that are already being raised.

What can we do about Modi or his chelas? Australian media wrote a piece about Modi leading India into Covid apocalypse and there was a huge uproar. Commoners will be crushed if they raise their voice. Celebs have a slightly better chance of being heard. They can't be silenced so easily.

Its on the contrary actually. Celebs have a face and can easily be silenced are being silenced too, from what we got to see over the last several months at least. On the other hand, the common man has a strength when he decides to act en masse which no force on the face of earth can combat or silence without taking heed to it. India only uses Democracy during the elections - both the common man as well as the clever Politicians. After that it magically transforms into autocracy/dictatorship or whatever is convenient to the Politicians and the common man is diverted to take his problems to the soft targets like the celebrities etc.

Take delhi for e.g. , they were given funds to setup 8 oxygen plants. Kejriwal created 1. Where is the rest of the money. 1500 hospital was setup last time, what was the hurry to dismantle it.. Delhi's problems are not because of center but totally because of Delhi's CM.

Last time when Center enforced precautions, lockdown etc.. infections were less. This time, everyone knew all countries were going through second wave... and yet states did nothing..

When mumbai cases started to appear, why was Maharastra not cutoff.. travel should have been banned.. it very quickly spread to MP (close to Maha).. and so on.. its really all on state govt. this time

Honestly, the way Bollywood was systemically attacked and silenced last year with the smear campaign using SSR as a weapon by this government, seeing the hate fill up in their SM accounts, are we really surprised they're silent? They're silent because they were silenced. Over the years. I remember a time when Srk and Aamir used to express concerns about issues and they were attacked, labeled terrorists and told to "go to Pakistan". I don't expect anyone from Bollywood to say anything anymore because of how much they were targeted. Barring a few like Swara and Tapsee, who continue to remain vocal. Then we have the local psycho Kangana who spares so moment to attacks anyone from Bollywood.

As of now, numerous Bollywood actors have been sharing and tweeting resources and links with information for beds, vaccines etc.
