Just really wonder and surprised that how come Ahaan doesn't know abt Mayank the moran's cheap personality?they have been friends for yrs but not a clue abt his low grade crap behavior of this mayank?? Seriously!!😠 mayank has 0% respect for women/girl ..ahaan always gives the speech of family, family values but doesn't he bother when Mayank bad mouth abt ishki?or same theory of him men can say anything but women not🙄🙄 ..he should have fired this kind of friend but he didn't..👎🏼atleast ahaan has courtesy for women, he might rude,harsh,bad temper towards ishki at the beginning but never indecent.

Yeah I honestly wonder how they became friends :S Mayank is a misogynist, a male chauvinist who treats women like they are a piece of meat. Ahan also says some misogynist things and can be sexist but he seems to be making a genuine effort to unlearn these double standards. The one difference between him and Mayank is that he is not a pervert, whereas Mayank think it’s a man’s right to use and abuse women for his sexual gratification. I would really like to know why Mayank has such a trash mentality, when his mom is so liberal... I would think that he had a liberal upbringing, and was taught to respect and honour women.

Ahaan himself has a sexist mindset. He has toned down his views about Ishqi off late after Ishqi's willigness to apologize to Sarla for Sonu's fault. He has started to like her and hence is trying to be more understanding and caring.

But Ahaan was not like this initially. Like Mayank, he too was judgemental when Ishqi was late for the engagement or when she lost the ring. He used to blame her for giving importance to a job. He was harsh with Ishqi when he saw her with food at a time when she was expected to fast. It's no wonder that Mayank expected Ahaan to take his side. I think if Ahaan's attitude towards Ishqi hadn't changed, he too would have agreed with Mayank, his daadi, etc that as a responsible bride Ishqi should have been responsible with her diet and dress.

Yes, I agree Ahaan isn't as heartless as Mayank. This distinction is something Ishqi is able to see; that despite the kind of mindset Ahaan has, it was he who supported her and not Mayank.

But what I meant was that on a superficial level Ahaan's actions and talks weren't so different some days back from how Mayank is behaving now. If anything Mayank actually seemed supportive of Ishqi initially. I mean this was the Mayank who wanted to patch up things between Ahaan and Ishqi; who seemed to want Ishqi to be respected by his best friend. This maybe why Ahaan isn't realising the true extent of Mayank's nature. And if anything there is always this look of surprise or disbelief on Ahaan's face whenever he sees Mayank behaving unconcerned for Ishqi now.

But Mayank always behave nicely with Ahaan n his family that's why he didn't knew.. Only Sonu knows Mayank is a creep but until she speaks up no one will know..

But Ahaan is getting hints due to his cold behavior towards Ishqi n it's surprising him..

But morons like Mayank don't change coz of a slap instead they get triggered n plan for revenge .. Take holi episode for instance.. Raj punched Mayank coz he was peeping inside while Sonu was changing.. Mayank planned revenge to make Sonu drunk so that she would do something stupid n Sarla aunty will call off the wedding..

That is a still mystery to me that how can Ahaan have such a friend. It’s one thing that you want home maker and you want women to not do job but it is another thing to humiliate/body shame them in front of everyone.

Ahaan is a misogynist in thinking women should not do jobs, follow traditional gender roles but he does show respect. He did say that he thinks women working at home are much better than men. He uses harsh words for ishqi but never manhandled her. He is not a pervert. He did use clothes comment on the girl in jagrata but while arguing in kartik he did say he has problem with Eve teasing and how function appropriate clothes should be worn by both men and women. So he has some decency in that aspect, unlike Mayank.

Ahaan is more about following gender roles in the traditional family but Mayank is like masaji the ones who misuse these gender roles to demean women.
