Why do we need celebs to speak out loud ? Some people donate silently, some do their work and go back to their house, some dont !

No one is equipped enough to manage this crisis !! Whether its ruling party or had it been Congress as ruling part, the truth is - our healthcare system is poor, population is disastrous !!.

Everyone are doing their bit to manage the situation...PM Cares fund is being (there will be audits of these funds) ...the questions arises is how we play a role in overcoming this and what should be the recovery path from this !!

I fail to understand some of the hesitations against Pfizer/Moderna.

The refrigeration requirements, I understand. It makes the logistics expensive. But trial diversity is astounding. The CDC actually requires pretty diverse population testing before even emergency approval. People of all ethnicities, comorbidities, and races have received Pfizer and Moderna.

From Pfizer Phase 3 trials published last November

A breakdown of the diversity of clinical trial participants can be found here from approximately 150 clinical trials sites in United States, Germany, Turkey, South Africa, Brazil and Argentina.

India's response to COVID is baffling at best and callously deadly in truth.

I even posted the link to the entire study where you can see the ethnic breakdown and how the study was done in so many different countries with a large sample size of 43,000 participants. And some members are justifying the delay of approving Pfixier because of an Indian bridging trial, which is being done NOW with a mere 100 participants for a week. How does any of this make statistical sense?

Pfizer/BiOnTech wanted India to sign a document waving off any repurcussions of the side effects apparently. This was back in December.

About these celebs, they don't need to speak out. In fact, these dumb folks are part of the reason why things are so bad. What they need to do is establish a kitty with donations from top stars, filmmakers, and producers, and need to actively work as a civil society. This will not only help the country, but would also help them in the longer run with tax cuts and all.

Twitter outrage won't work. That's all they do. Everyone can become a social or a political activist these days by tweeting. It's a coward's way out. Yet, few of them are willing to contribute financially or tangibly.

Not that I expect anything from these dim-wits.

It makes no sense. Most people are repeating certain agenda talking points. It is true that Pfizer is trying to strongarm poorer nations, but the same is not the case with Moderna.

Also very little discussion about J&J which is a one-shot and done vaccine which does not require the mRNA extreme cold storage.

Serum Institute made very conflicting claims about the US embargo on raw materials. But US export is not impacting AstraZeneca Covishield.

I am in full support of eliminating patent protection for COVID vaccines so other nations can mass manufacture. But I am baffled by some Indian's obsession with criticizing vaccines over common sense vaccine policies.

Every country has done that, including the U.S. Vaccine testing normally takes years, and these were readied in months. Most governments were willing to take the risk on behalf of their citizens but do not force citizens to take the risk of the shot itself. Govts world over considered risk of the virus worse than risk of vaccine and basically left the final decision to the people.

India refused to do it.

Many have donated, last year and this year. Not all make it public. To bad a lot of it went to PMCares.

As for tweeting - this is what awaits them (or a visit from the tax man and/or rape accusations)

They even want to hold celebrities accountable but not supreme leader Modi.

Celebs didn't get voted into power. They didn't pledge to take care of you. They also don't have central or state resources at their disposal. They are just civilians doing their jobs and making money from their work the same way we all are.
