Absolutely. But you are busy doing you, I forgive you for lacking in those skills.

I am guessing your state failed to facilitate vaccine drive for even elderly or you must have asked them to wait for pfizer to come to india since you have no faith in indian vaccines...

Everyone in my famiy above 45+ got two doses of vaccines , some got for free at gov sites and the others who didnt want to wait in line went to private hospitals by paying 250 for each doses.

Your parents can still get vaccine on priority basis coz they belong to high risk category. My advice to you would be to go for available indian vaccines rather than wait for pfizer or moderna.

Or you can keep cribbing and whining like you have been doing about modi and his govenance at the risk of your parents safety. Choice is always yours..

You assume a whole bunch of things. They got their 1st dose of Covishield, but there are no doses to be had for 2nd shot. It is the same darned story everwhere in Kerala. And it is just not Kerala. Other states report the same.

There are no vaccines to be had for payment, either. But there are, I am told, some vaccine doses on the black market.

Are you telling Serum Instuitute and the govt are now wrong? There is plenty of vaccine? Then what was that media ruckus about raw materials from the U.S.?

You can't have it both ways. Either there are enough vaccines or there aren't.

Truth is there aren't.

Btw, Covishield is Oxford vaccine. 52-76% efficacy acc to their own documents. So it is not a matter of me having faith. The numbers speak for themselves.

I wish my patrents had Pfizer or Moderna, but I will not want them to wait for either.

Yeah, intersting word choice of *cribbing* and *whining* to describe people who are worried for their families' safety. Let's hope you never have the occasion to *crib* and *whine* for similar reasons. There is thing called an empathy chip in the brain which in some people doesn't get switched on until they themselves are in trouble.

Or perhaps you wouldn't since politics seem more important to you.

P.S. I never mentioned he-who-shall-not-be-named by name precisely because he alone is not the govt. There is a vast network of bureaucrats who in reality control a lot of the actual governing porcess. But some are so blinded by their political affiliation they simply cannot see beyond it.

Classic derailing tactic.

The question is are vaccines available in india or not?

They aren't. Thanks to the incompetence and/or corruption on part of the authorities.

And seriously? You actually can laugh about it? When thousands are dying each day?

Better yet get me banned so that you can continue your propaganda😆

Once again, you are trying to derail.

Vaccines aren't available in India thanks to the corruption and/or incompetence of the government.

All the deaths thus far are on their hands.

To prevent more deaths, stringent lockdown for 2-3 weeks during which vaccines need to be administered is the only way.

India cannot do that because the government hasn't approved the vaccines. If citizens do not raise their voice (not outside demonstrations), it will not happen.

No matter what personal insults are lobbed at me to derail from the topic, I will continue stating this.

"cribbing and whining" WOW JUST WOW

How insensitive can people get, while defending He Must Not Be Named? Three colleagues and dear friends of mine, who were in perfect health DIED this week! One was in his late 30s, two in their 40s- no age to die, I can assure you.

I can only hope and pray that God gives the poster you quoted empathy and compassion and may they never ever go through any occasion to crib and whine. God made all of us equal brother- even if someone is an elected official- don't put them on such a pedestal that it makes you lose your humanity.

Covishield is free for patients, but govt pays SI for each dose. Same as Pfizer, Moderna, and J&J are being paid by the U.S. govt, but patients don't pay anything.

I’d happily pay even double of the 1500 for Pfizer...

Where I live , the age limit hasn’t dropped where I can get vaccinated and if I have to get it privately, have to pay $100 for Sputnik.. but even that is sold out for now

HMR... ignore this troll.. this ID was made just today... obviously it’s someone who has no guts to come from their real ID 🤣 But want to lecture others...

Why don’t they defend the govt and blame the citizens from their real ID.... no point arguing with a fake troll account

How convenient to be responding with multiple IDs. Just coz no one else is supporting your claims, let's make another ID for illusion 😂

I fail to understand some of the hesitations against Pfizer/Moderna.

The refrigeration requirements, I understand. It makes the logistics expensive. But trial diversity is astounding. The CDC actually requires pretty diverse population testing before even emergency approval. People of all ethnicities, comorbidities, and races have received Pfizer and Moderna.

From Pfizer Phase 3 trials published last November

A breakdown of the diversity of clinical trial participants can be found here from approximately 150 clinical trials sites in United States, Germany, Turkey, South Africa, Brazil and Argentina.

India's response to COVID is baffling at best and callously deadly in truth.
