At bold- respectfully disagree, IMHO
When you are on a family trip with two days old family, you have to follow the elders (here gautam and dhara ) until you know each other very well.
Gaura planned/managed the trip - dhara managed/cooked food - she must had counted raavi and rishita, too.
It is not about independence, it is about giving respect and not disturbing plan/hard work done by others for you.
Gaura knew how many rooms they have there, quality and conditions of those rooms... - they may planned already who is staying where - I don't mind if they give raavi first choice knowing her condition / trying to make her feel better / pamper a bit.... etc.
Rishita's attitude is I do not care of dhara or any other family member...- will not follow anyone's lead (understand...) - while her own father kept her prisoned .... she wants all those freedom here... in a middleclass join family !!!!!!!!!
while kicking out raavi's things from room in house, she did not think once... If she was kind hearted/caring / understanding, would think of raavi's status (will not show off how much her and dev love each other)... and try to console her... will ask for forgiveness... for ruining her wedding... and give her that room with respect ... in efforts to repent what rishita and dev did to raavi...
Raavi still knew pandyas from childhood, rishita is not aware of the family conditions/status/traditions /likings....
In general, new daughter in law takes a while to observe and know new family before opening her mouth or giving any opinions/taking decisions.
