What's required for Shiva and Raavi to Move On?

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this forum...but already in love with detailed analysis and lively conversation in this fandom. So just thought I would start a thread about a topic I've been thinking about. Please let me know what your thoughts/opinions are!

So, it's obvious that the writers/makers of the show are mainly interested in moving on from the marriage fiasco to focus on bringing shivi together. While I don't necessarily agree with this logic - it raised an important question in my mind.

What is needed for ShiVi to begin the process of moving on?

For me, the first step would be to have a solid discussion (not just angry taunts) between the two as to why they agreed to the marriage.

Right now Raavi believes Shiva married her to take revenge. Shiva, on the other hand, believes Raavi is too immature to be a Pandya bahu, and doesn't trust her in everything.

But if they are able to establish that:

Shiva married Raavi to honor Dhara's request (and it has nothing to do with troubling her)

Raavi married Shiva at her MausaPa's request (therefore proving that he is mature enough to respect family wishes)

It will give ShiVi a common ground to work off: FAMILY TIES

Not saying that this magically erase their hatred/annoyance at each other, as they have a long past, but at least it will give them a foundation to work off of.

I really hope the kidnapping drama provides us the space for this much needed convo.

Let me know what you guys think!

A conversation would be great. This kidnapping drama would definitely push them in a situation where they have to work together to get out of it.

It's only been a day since the wedding so I'm not holding my breath. It's too early but ShiVi are going to pull through. If they want to be married, they have to work it out.

So far I don’t think they’ve even had one decent conversation 😂

I’m just thinking they’ll tire each other out all the taunts and fights, and then end too exhausted that being cordial seems a better way. 😂 That way we’ll get to see their nok-jhoks that we love so much.

But yes. in a healthy relationship talking is important. And the points that you’ve noted are a great place to start with, but I’m not sure as to how that’ll fit in in this kidnapping situation.

Fingers crossed!

Amd welcome to the forum!

A shock of reality. Shiva needs to realise that Raavi is a seperate human being apart from being related to his maami. Raavi needs a shock to realise that her feelings for Dev was based on a fairytale dream and didn't have much to do with Dev the real human.

Like you and many others already mentioned, they need to talk have a proper conversation.

And first things first, they need to clear up that Shiva did not marry for revenge and that Raavi is an individual who has an identity beyond Mami ki behen ki Beti.

Wonderful post!

First, I think it's the acceptance of their relationship. And I don't mean it as like Raavi's accepted that she and Dev weren't meant to be, but acceptance that though they both don't like each other, they're in this together. This will lead them to have a serious conversation and not just banters. Hoping this kidnapper track paves way for it. And in their conversation, they can discuss the reason for their marriage and set expectations on whether they want to work on this relationship of husband and wife and take it slow or simply be cordial with each other for the peace of their minds and be like roommates.

Raavi needs to understand Shiva's selflessness in marrying her and that she never really loved Dev

Shiva should see that she is not evil/selfish/greedy like his maami
