Yes. U R right. Rishta's character in original Tamil version Meena is gray shade. She is both impulsive and mature. But in due course it slowly changes n everyone in the house accept her as she is . She fights a lot with everyone but also stand for the family even agianst her father. She even apologises to Raavi character i.e Mullai in Tamil after realising her attitude is wrong. In Tamil version, both Rishita n Raavi gel wrll along in due course than with Dhara i.e Dhanam in Tamil. She is not very bad or very good. A normal woman as in real life. Hope so her character remains same in hindi to.

I don't think guilt-tripped is the right word. Because shiva was just stating facts about what that family has done to their family and by being with raavi dev was basically opening doors for that family to step in their life. Shiva is very protective of people he loves and he doesn't forgive or forget people who hurt his loved ones easily. Even today he doesn't like that family. He is quiet and even participated nicely in wedding preparations due to his family. If you are talking about revelation of his relationship to raavi, he was just direct in expressing his displeasure. If you are talking about rishita revelation then he was simply pointing out dev's mistakes where he misled raavi and dragged their whole family in a sh!tstorm. What dev was going through was his own doing so giving him support and telling him everything is ok would be a lie. Even right now what dev is going through is because of his own silence and lack of courage. I am not into good two shoes itv FL like dhara but I don't like rishita either as she also lived and still lives in her dreamland where just her and dev exists. Her behavior after marriage or before marriage is similar to that of a mental patient who has OCD. There is nothing relatable about her love for dev. She doesn't even see the need to respect dev's family or try to build a relationship with them. She doesn't need to be mahaan but in real life newly married woman do not create a ruckus and try their best to build a good relationship. She doesn't see anything past dev. She went through a lot because of her egoistic father and that is not a justification for her actions now. So far squandering wishes are concerned, I don't think except dev, anyone in pandya family would want a dil like rishita who doesn't understand words like adjustment, compromise, respect etc. This is a joint family in india not USA. They accepted rishita for dev not because she was their choice for dev. I am not sure what writers are planning to do with rishita but at the moment there is nothing positive about her.

I think it's better we agree to disagree.

I agree on your points regarding Dev and Shiva. But then, more than your intention, actions speak.

In his mind, Dev thought staying mum would protect everyone. But that was the beginning of the disaster.

In the same way protectiveness and staying true was fine until he started brashly commenting on DiShita and others. Our love for someone doesn't give us the permission to demean/mistreat others. Then we wouldn't be pointing towards Rishita because she does love Dev.

I do think Rishita loves Dev but she has to learn a lot. So that's what we were originally talking about. Whether she would turn negative or remain as the flawed person she already is and eventually evolve.

And also Rishita's love for Dev is unconditional. She fights with him a lot but also loves him very much.yes, she fights for her rights and all facilities but she never had a thought of breaking the family or moving out alone with Dev. Her character is little bit selfish who she wants quiet a luxurious life but not bad at heart. Even Rishita's father character is portrayed as real villan in hindi but in Tamil though he hate pandya family, his love for his daughter also unconditional. He forgives her when she gets pregnant. He tries to ruin their shop n business but not as villanous as in hindi. The USB of the original version is all are like people in real life. No big villans and not everyone are too good or too bad.
