Hi all, I go by PanchavatiVasi. I'm a big fan of mythological serials, with my favourite being RS Ramayan.

8.Favourite Mythological Serials? Why?- 1) Devon ke Dev Mahadev because i'm a ardent devottee of lord shiva and i like the love story of lord shiva and goddess Parvati and I loved the way the show portrayed their love story!
2)Mahabharat (Star Plus)- Becoz actors were fab..music and graphics were awesome..cast was superb..and yeah! I liked SRJ as madhav in it..and also Parneet as Shakuni Nd Duryodhana's acting...I dunno why but i like strong villians even more than the heroes...😕😆

3) siya ke ram : I loved Lakshmila...😳 and the cast was superb too...amazing sound tracks n dialougues were its USPs..It was a good attempt from the makers to convey women empowerment through medium of Mytho...anyways my love for ramayan was a reason too...

9.Favourite Mythological Actors?Actresses?-Mouni Roy ,Mohit Raina Sonarika Bhadoria Pooja Sharma,Shaheer Sheikh ,Saurabh Raj Jain Karan suchak Ashish Sharma Yukti Kapoor and Bijay anand.

10.What is your Favourite scene from your favourite Mythological(S)?-1) DKDM- Sati Dhahan n Mahadevs Angry avatar after that...I also loved Shivji and Parvati Mata's Marriage,Lord Ganesha's Birth and the episode where shivji beheads him nd Parvati mata turns into rudra avatar...
2)Mahabharat-Draupadi's Birth, Abhimanyu death..Karnas death scene where krishna gives them teachings...

3) Siya ke ram :- Swayamvar scene

Lakshman saving Urmila scene

Rams entry (grown up)

Wedding where Mahadev disguised as pandit come n tie raksha threads on the grooms hand.

Why: Mahabharat isy fav. Mytho book also, the relationship between families, siblings, husband - wife, friends is intricately and beautifully depicted here... Not to forget the Great battle of krukshetra

Actresses: pooja sharma as Draupadi

Luv-khush in Lord Rama court singing their life story from Ramayan...

11. What is the most important lesson these serials have taught you: the most important lesson I learnt is "its not always necessary to do the right thing in right way, doing right thing in wrong way is not that bad... Its all the matter of perspective"..."Sam Dam Dand Bhed"

Any nicknames preferred? : Riya (It's what I'm commonly known as here on IF)

Where are you from? : Originally Mumbai, then Pune and now in Canada

Occupation? : Social work

Interests? : TV shows, books (historical and mystery), writing, music (and Karaoke!), movies.

I enjoy reading about Hindu Mythology, especially the Amar Chitra Katha books. Much of my childhood was spent reading these, and C. Rajagopalachari's works, and listening to narrations of Bhagavatam, Mahabharata and Ramayana from my grandma. I have tried to pass on this love to my daughter (now a teen!) and my collection of ACKs are hugely responsible for her interest in Hindu mythology!

Favorite mythological serials? Tbh, I haven't watched any of the recent ones, but I absolutely loved BR Chopra's Mahabharat.

Favorite mythological actors? Nitish Bharadwaj. He was stunning as Lord Krishna. Also Mukesh Khanna as Bheeshma Pitamaha, and Puneet Issar as Duryodhana. I also enjoyed Rupa Ganguly's portrayal of Draupadi.
