The issue is also that he is doing all this because it is Imlie herself who has made a place in his heart. Marriage brought them together but it’s her qualities and selfless nature that kept pulling Aditya towards her but for Imlie, she always stays in the boundaries of the relationship. Very nice analysis!! Logic vs Faith was indeed the theme of today's episode but the other word that struck me was "rishta" and symbolism that’s was connected with it through that whole beautiful conversation.

Two rishta, one based on logic the other based on vishwaas. The logical one was the desired one, and one would think it would have all the things that can make it successful but currently its filled with distrust, complication, lack of understanding and is full of burdens. On the other side, the "faith" rishta was the forced one and it had no chance of survival. It was doomed to fail but because its had the foundation of belief, its currently filled with understanding and a peace as it requires nothing to sustain, just a heart full of "vishwaas "

They say that more than love, trust is essential in any relationship, it can make a bond stronger or weaker. As Malini trust is wavering in her own marriage, her bond is becoming weaker and she has no one to blame but herself. Like she placed the candle near the photo, she also took the step to let "shak" and mistrust enter their relationship. Shak once entered never goes away similar to a thread once broken can be tied together but cannot be fixed. On the other side, despite everything, Imlie has never let her trust waver. She has protected it against all costs even choosing to leave Aditya when he mocked her for it. And because she did not let it waver, its come to a point that Aditya himself has started believing in it. A person who called it nakli, denied its very existence, mocked it was today protecting it.

Trust is not given but earned and today not only has Imlie earned it, but even her "rishta" too got that trust from him . Till date, Imlie was the sole protector of his "rishta" and she did not need anyone else but today, for the first time, she entrusted it to Aditya. She opened that door for him which he himself had forced her to close time and again. Aditya did not really realized the significance (as he still stuck on how do I take her back 😛) but the importance was not missed. Hence, he went above and beyond to protect it thus coming to all the symbolism.

Aditya would be the one who would be protecting this "rishta" against all the external forces. He will even if it hurts him, destroys him even if its burns his "desired/logical" marriage to pieces. On the other side, Malini will not give up because she will not be ready to accept that their relationship is not salvageable because as she said who decides it’s the end and she can save it. She will try and in the end, AC will take things in her hand. I think Aditya's life at this point is going to be hell and Imlie herself would ask him to let go, as her mannat, her wish, her want (which he keeps asking her time and again ki what is your wish) was only that he protects his family and Malini. But another symbolic reference was that, that as soon as Imlie said Malini, Aditya got hurt which indicated two things that Malini will be the reason for Aditya's biggest pain in life, his guilt which will keep him separate from his real love of life thus being the biggest hurdle to their "rishta".

Lastly, Aditya is nothing if not stubborn and once he has decided he is not going to let go, he will not. Not because its important to him but because its important to her. He will not let go and in the end, Imlie would be the solution and his anchor using her belief, her roots which resides in SM, who resides in Mitti which would ultimately give him the peace.

Faith and Logic are two opposite ends of the spectrum.....each has it's own place....but rishton mein logic nahin hota😆.....because emotions also don't run on logic.....least of all the emotion of love.

Your point is valid about how the contrast was drawn between two relationships built on these opposite things....one on faith, and one on logic. The one based on logic seemed to check all the boxes on the surface so "logically" it should be the right one, the stronger one....yet it is failing. While the one built purely on faith alone....that too just one person's faith more than the other is building over time and strengthening to the point where the faith is transferring to the other person in that relationship to do his part in strengthening it.

Imlie's faith has both serenity and strength in it....that is why it is so compelling....she doesn't impose her faith on anyone but she stands strong in her own faith.....and sooner or later that pulls everyone in....even Adi now.

Adi's life has to go through hell as Karma for some of the choices he's made I suppose.....and for all he put Imlie through as well when it wasn't her fault. But then again, the more Adi-Imlie go through hell together, they are forged stronger in that fire.....these two literally go through life and death situations every day and come out stronger. Adi will suffer, Imlie will be hurt....but ultimately they will be each other's salvation and destiny.

I love the comparison they always tend to show us between Adoon and Adili!

while the convo between Adi and Imlie was on logic and faith

and you can see how Adi is work with logic, while Imlie is work by faith.

when the candle (Imlie's faith) was in danger, while Adi who is trying so hard to protect it by harming himself just to protect her faith!

when Imlie comes she ask him to let it go! it is the logic thing to do! why do you hurt yourself? she was care about him and willingly dropping her faith so he didn't get harm! but he didn't want this faith to go away! it is the only connection with her right now! if she lost her faith in their relation what will be left for him then?

in the other hand, Millani got freaking out over her wedding photo burning! which logically could be printed again! it show's how weakly her faith in her relation is, a burning picture is enough to shake it up!


Aditya restless and what he is going through right now reminds me of the poem imlie wrote for his wedding card! ( episode 20 , 10:30)
