Just back with a random thought all three events are random thoughts of his inner battles and emotions. The struggle between whom we know and whom he maybe. We all have always said that there is more hidden in him then meets the eye.

His mother has said it a few days before he cannot be himself until and when he realises what the problem is. I see the moment of him with imlie on the bridge accepting the sindoor as a confirmation of the longing he has felt so far. Remember we never got to hear what he really felt after the snake bite. I believe it’s his way of showing her that she means more then meets the eyes. He has never been good with words and has far from few when they come. It was his soul telling her that’s she shall be missed by him aswell. Imlie being Imlie went with the moment. Not realising that he confusion lays within too.

As for her wish it was simply her longing to show him that he does matter. She has in a way asked for her right with him without breaking the norms he lives by. Her respect for his need to be with his family before her shows the way she asked for his time. I felt it was apt she didn’t ask for more of her rights but what she did ask for was a level she is comfortable with and will be moving forward as we see there friendship develop.

The other piont I believe the dance refers to in the episodes is that as we said the snake bit was not significant in actually terms of harm I feel it was more a a metaphor to explain the temptation he is likely to feel moving forward. A glimpse of it was shown today where he reflect between his inner demons of living for himself or for others. I got a sense that he wants to be free and not be so rigit all the time.

Maybe hw became reserved when he saw his sister marriage fail and with it his brother relationship dissolve which we got a glimpse off a few days before. I feel the man he is because of the actions around him. He wants to be free but he is not sure how and Maline has always been a good fit when he has left his heart closed to feel. But with the opening of his emotions we are likely to see more of these demons on the forefront.

The reflection today was neither in my eye and declaration of love but more of an acceptance that he does feel for her. What he is not sure off and will have to work through when back in the city as he has to face the other demons he has locked away for know.

I feel the message in all this was that it shall be a test between duty v temptation. Friendship v companionship and love v sacrifice. It will be a battle he will have to challenge each step of the way as he works on these emotions and the one that will help him out will be Imlie as she has done so to date with her actions and words.

Sometimes our actions speak louder then our words. He is just to see these within him.

Okay that’s it’s for know back later as i manage to link the scenes with the past. Off to work through these metaphors 🧐

Pam - why do you think it came out of nowhere? Hasnt he been doing all unexpected things for a while now?

Reposting from the other thread

It also led up nicely - did not come out of nowhere - we just kept discounting because of the usual ITV workflow.

He missed her, yelled at Ac, rode his bike in the rain for her, bought her a red outfir for V day, apologized - reacted diff to Mun's accident than Imlis', saved her over Mun, took her to his room, sees her saving his life and craves her comfort at that time, watches her walk away, bus scene, total despair after that, going the day after to PG after lying, going to her home while questioning why its his marzi, staying at her home, saying he will eat from her plate, hiding the snake bite, wanting to do rigth by her for the exams under all odds, recalling the past, the sindoor miss - why are people feeling this all came out of left center....in reality do you need more than this for it to flash in your inward mind that 'Imli' is your pasand. People are so conditioned by ITV that takes multiple episodes for some understanding to dawn that when it happens organically they feel it came out of nowhere. Adi being Adi will of course now try to tell himself of all the reasons why he cannot let his mind accept the truth and go back to Mun - but after a part of him realizing the truth. Much more real story.

I loved how his alter ego danced...and how the real Adi wished he could go and join in the happy dance. The dance was warranted...Adi's acknowledging in some dimension the truth needed expression, and it was good they did not overdo.

I just finished rewatching the alter ego scene.....few other things that stood out to me:

1) Adi's alter ego warning him that now that he's realized he likes Imlie, he needs to go tell Malini or it will be a bigger dhoka for her.

Me thinks Adi will try to tell Malini and it will be a repeat of her anxiety attack situation so he will back off and maybe again say he was joking with her😆

2) His alter ego dismantling all his bullshit about coming to PD to "khatam karo" everything when Imlie had already ended everything with him in the bus scene😆

3) The "Sach toh yeh hai ki tum Imlie ke bina jeena bhool gaye ho" line.....that was a good one

4) The "Jis ladki ko tum apni zindagi mein koi jagah nahin dena chahte the, usne tumhare dil mein jagah banaa li hain" line.

That came out off the blue but just like the way he jumped on a bus, shared her food or dropped her to the college.

I believe the sindoor reference was not one of him seeing her as his wife but one of him accepting he shall miss her and him trying to show her she does matter. Him trying to convince her to comeback home with him.

I never felt he showed her so but he wished to show her respect her wish to be whom she wants. Let her decide her own identity and in a way it’s his denial too off not being able to let go so soon.

He wanted to give her a sign that moving forward he will support her and she can call on him if need for he'll remember her.

I now I am be way off but I’ll have to watch the episode with my mum and aunt to see there take on things so far.🧐

I think my major issue is timing 😕 I would have liked the alter ego scene to have taken the limelight be the center today be given the importance it deserved as that was adi finally trying to put things together..it being drawn out a bit more with a bit more tehraav.. It felt too sudden to me and despite liking the discussion it didn't left the impact it should have caz of mistiming and the the random dance totally undoing any little Impact that scene had on me any other day I would have been so giddy about the 2 things as you said might work as standalone not in the mix.

But here on I see more of morality war of adi with himself

These are specific damning lines - not easy for him to brush over...esp the suggestion that he may be further cheating on Malini - that to me suggests that Adi will not go back to Mun lightly and ignore what happened in PG. He is simply not going to be able to brush everything that happened today and flip.

Thats every episode for me :) I find things out of place and on second watch - I'm like that was simply brilliant. I have not watched many shows at all - and def no episode ever more than once max twice - but this one definitely is a multiple time watch. More nuances stand out each time.
