Indian Idol platform vs other Singing Reality Shows

Just wondering how Indian idol platform compares to other singing reality shows on other channels in terms of recognition, popularity, fame , showcasing talent etc?

Perhaps which platform is the beat in terms of final success for a singer?

I think Indian Idol is the most popular one. However not many reality show participants get a lot of fame. Same is the case with Indian Idol. We’re on season 12 - which means there have been around 150 contestants - but only 10-15 are known today.

However, I don’t think Indian Idol is the best content wise - I used to prefer sa re ga ma pa. Nowadays there is also Indian pro music league, but I wouldn’t compare it to Indian Idol, most singers there are experienced - Shaan, Kailash Kher, Neha Bhasin, Mika, etc

I think saregama contestants get the most fame. Followed by indian idol and then rising star

Currently Indian Idol is the most popular among all I think. But the real struggle is when the show ends and that's almost same for all the shows.

Indian Idol might be the most well known but the regional singing shows are better at converting their contestants into playback singers.

In terms of the quality of judges and their judgement and fairness, I would surely rate The Voice, Sa re ga ma pa and Rising Star highly than Indian Idol. Haven't seen any non-music related judges like Sonakshi Sinha, Farah Khan on any other singing show except Indian Idol. Indian Idol majorly focuses on TRP rather than singing quality that's why maybe singers like Shreya Ghoshal, Sunidhi Chauhan deny to judge the show for their fake scripts and over exaggerated drama.

I find Indian Idol to be the most sexist out of all the singing shows, no offence.

The last time they were so desperate they did actually get a female winner. Just shows how scripted this all this

Over all, Indian idol singer get the most fame out of all the reality singers. Pawandeep is more famous from Indian Idol than the Voice which he won. That season also had Sahil and Rishab as the runner ups.

Personally I think the current version of Indian idol is very different than older versions. Simply because now the contestants who come here, majority of them are winners or runner ups of SRGMP or other reality shows. These contestants are the best the other reality shows had to offer. So quality of singing is better in my opinion.

Rating wise we can see it is doing very well.
