In India, go on a weekend and you won’t find a place to sit 😆

I am bookmarking this topic now.. for when I go travelling US. Loving the foodie get-together 😅

I had Biryani in Kerala once, it was sweet and that was a bit of a shock to me. I thought Biryani is supposed to be a little spicy always. And then Biryani in Bengal, it had Aloo in there? How 😫 I felt like just everything in Bengal was kinda sweet too and I don't have a sweet tooth at all lol. I prefer the Biryani in Delhi and Hyderabad. I think generally I do prefer North Indian cuisine.. Punjabi By Nature in Delhi & GG is one of my fav spots. Marathi cuisine is perhaps my next fav Indian cuisine! Vada Pav, Pav Bhaji for lunch 😊

oh OK...😆...yes must have been that...I especially wanted to see Southhall because of the number of movies that have been shot there🤣...I like to visit the places that I have read about or seen in movies....I know its silly but ah well🤔😆......I have grown up reading Mills and Boons and anyone who has read them knows the two most mentioned stores are Harrods and then Neiman Marcus....so my first stop in London was Harrods....My husband was like..why...we have better ones in USA and I said ..tum nahi samjhoge...😭

Have you been to Devon Street in Chicago...good authentic Indian food and sweets there also...India wala feel hota hain poora...❤️

I think Patiala House was shot there right? I found it so wild to see the road signs/station name written in English and Punjabi lol. Ahh Harrods still has a charm to it even today, even the Hamleys.

Thanks for the recommendation, haven’t been so will add to the list. Little India in most places has been kaafi disappointing to me. I think Toronto disappointed me the most. But this sounds promising!

I personally love the Bengal biryani the best. In fact, we can't even imagine biryani without aloo and egg.

Also, everything in Bengal was sweet? Like, what kind of dishes did you try? I've grown up loving Bengali cuisine and have zero sweet tooth. 🤔

Coming to south Indian food, don't you get tired of rasam and dosa for lunch, dosa and rasam for dinner? 😂

@blue: Try learning about the difference between Punjabi and Mughlai cuisine. Delhi is famous for both but mainly Mughlai.

@bold : Wow, elite much? The stereotyping and arrogance here 👏

😂 so why don't you tell us the difference? If you can, that is. 😂

All this origin of foods stuff is so much nonsense. Wasnt the point of it all to check out what people have in their cuisine on a regular basis? Now punjabis specifically have been eating north west frontier province kind of food for generations. It's part of their cuisine as are some of the best items from other cultures and regions. And you can see that if you go to Amritsar. They have the same food you are talking about as mughlai, just tastier than the greasy food they serve in your dives. 😂

Ls- I was responding to that character who was trashing punjabi food, and hyping up his rasam.. Don't take it to heart, at least not too much 😂

@bold: If origin of food stuff is 'nonsense' according to you then maybe you should stop praising food of a particular 'origin' and trashing food of other 'origins'. Can't have it both ways now can you?

@pink : Again with the ignorance. I guess folks have already explained the difference in previous posts. You could read them or I don't know, give your taste buds a chance by actually trying the cuisines and understanding the difference ? Also, please try and understand what cuisine means. Google can help you with that.

@blue: So someone was hyping up Rasam(which is actually a South Indian delicacy) and you decided to trash UP/Bihari cuisine for that. 👏👏

Hmm, I can see the correlation (Not). I'm out.

Hope you have a good day.

Food industry and F&B industry are totally different though 😆😆.
