Right now with the exception of Hanuman Singh(before he was ruined) Shaurya is my next fav male lead
Really hope he doesn’t change in terms of becoming a typical lead as it will destroy the show
Rather would like to see the cute nok jok between them and more intellectual disagreements
I remember watching IPKKNRD and speaking about how toxic Arnav was but of course misguided teens came for me . It’s sad this is what girls in india think is romance .

In the recent interview ( link I posted) karan said he asked how much the role will change bc of channel or trp pressure and he doesn’t it doesn’t look like it will but shaurya will get better which is why he chose the role otherwise he wouldn’t have
So we have some hope and faith there ! Yay!

They very fact that our guy is not like any other ITV Male leads is super refreshing. Shaurya's character is written in such a beautiful way that you completely rely on him and at the same time sympathise with him. Knowing that he is the shield yet somewhere he is looking for protection. I can't even start how beautiful and unabashed his flaws are.
Hey, hi! So I had to quote this. Ykw? I totally agree with @Bold One thing I noticed is that there's always a new & fresh side to Shaurya which we might not guess beforehand. One day we see him lashing out on a student for maybe arriving for his lecture lately (lets say anokhi) & the next moment, you might witness how he's helping her out whichever the way possible. When I started the show I felt so relatable with the character slowly but later on only I realised the reason.
So Shaurya is an imperfectly perfect dude, I guess we can agree? But what makes him perfect is his flaws. He's humanly & has normal 'people' feelings. The way he reacts with situations is relatable & I think that's what connects us to him. What I was saying before, the 'relatable' point, I comprehended that I relate to Shaurya easily because he reminds me of 'Aditya Hooda' from Bepannaah, which telecasted in 2018. Aditya Hooda's journey was one mind-boggling roller coaster ride & he was like the most humanly normal character I've ever seen on ITV. No over the top drama, very much layered, very unique & savage. I see myself totally understanding Shaurya because I see maybe 50% of an Aditya Hooda in him. A silhouette maybe 😊
If anyone has watched Bepannaah, you might see the similarities.
And at the same time you have to give it to the writers for doing what they did. Also, I think the promos were not misleading because I kind of know that once anokhi and Shaurya fall in love, the misogyny will come out and it will not be him but his sufferings. So I am kind of prepared to see the graph falling and then pacing up. The character has got layers and I am glad it is close to reality.
One thing I totally like is how they show the sequences in their own way, which is without copying the exact scenes. Misogyny talk is for another day, later we'll find ample time to discuss this topic 😆 Oh yeah even I'm eager to know what will happen then & I think we can trust the makers to execute it nicely. The downfall & taking a stand with a 360° change in approach. How Shaurya used to be & what he's turning out to be, in the positive manner. Exactly, the layers are what's superior.
Now, the change that Audience deserved was having a male lead-
Who doesn't belittle the female lead based on her financial status.
Who doesnt sl*t shame her.
Who doesn't always tell her how she is a village girl and desperate and knows no better.
Who doesn't manhandle woman.
And apparently who doens't pull and push the girl according to his mood.
Definitely. Otherwise mostly we see toxic male leads, where no matter what fans will defend them. I just want a break from such little thinking. Here Shaurya is only upset since Anokhi is a student of his mother, the whole situation is riled up due to that point. He's a man with dignity & principles we can add. I'm glad its been more than 50 episodes now & the character is growing & showing his flawed side, good side & everything together day by day.
Also I do want to confess that I still regret liking toxicity years back. I remember how I didnt go all mad on Arnav for treating Khushi the way he did because if it happens in today's television I might turn off the TV and be like Khushi you can't fall for this man no matter how amazing you chemistry is. It's toxic.
Damn, ikr. Just what I said above. Toxic leads. I was literally taking baby steps into proper ITV drama viewing when I was introduced to IPKKND. Quite the journey where I loved Arnav & Khushi but yes, where Arnav was wrong I sympathized with khushi but was too young to understand how toxic was Barun's character. Really good chemistry though but that's not the real point here 🤪
Today's television? LOL There are some though I won't take names since I come across the shows on social media platforms & I don't give a darn about them but hell no. People haven't grown up yet & we can't change their mindsets. Lets just relax & laugh at the stupidity 😆
And trust me I loved IPKKND and I still do but now I have grown up and have my own mindset.
Similarly there are so many shows that still run on toxicity of male leads and I can only blame the writers as well as the audience because its them who choose what to see.
I can never forget the memories this show has given me. So memorable & iconic. These kinda stuff are okay until they are being shown on TV is what I can say. Sheezz, you just said what I said before once again 🤣 Current male roles. Nvm, we can't do anything for that. Audience wholeheartedly accepts toxic sh** because they are either dumb to understand, that much illiterate (Not the book lliteracy, don't take me wrong) or has nothing better to do!
Much needed post! 😊

Wahi naa I just hope they maintain that thin line of being jealous and justifying that jealousy by uttering shit for the fl.
And that good for nothing ACP ...less said the better.
Faltu, fookatchand, thakela chaapli nai tou !
Thanks !😊
I can't quote the whole stuff so short in short I think we both are settling on the same points and it looks like we both are in love with this beautifully flawed character. 😆
Also about the mysogeny thing...okay let's ignore that (for now I am too much mad because of this stupid ACP)
I mean I dont have much problem with the Jealousy track but man dont do this...like what about my man. Dont hurt him. He is already so broken.
