Himesh the singer is more of a nostalgia reminder, but Himesh the musician is excellent. His albums are memorable and well made.

The singer Himesh Reshammiya is a different level of abomination altogether. I still remember his nasal "tuuuu uuuu uuuu uuuuu" terrorizing my music experience in my school days.

I would never ever compare Atif Aslam to that. Atif is good. A little too Arijit-ish, but thousands times better than Himesh. 🙏

He would have been very much thriving & prospering in BW if Indian govt. hadn't banned Pakistani artists.

Not GOI, but Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) and All India Cine Workers Association (AICWE) have banned them.

Atif has done Dekhte Dekhte and Dil Diyan Gallan in more recent years and they have been massive songs!

I actually have heard Abra Ka Dabra 😆

Imo he's given some great songs like Apne Hote Hai, Tere Naam...but he had his Tera Suroor days as well so can't ignore that.

Despite his antics I feel he is talented but the nonsense overpowers the talent.

Atif wasn't the best from Pakistan, Shafqat Amanat Ali was much much better.

Oh. I am sorry for writing that.

However these associations are also affiliated with Maharashtra Govt., if I recall correctly. So that does involve the govt. At least the Maharashtra govt. And Indian govt did nothing to imply that they wish it to be any different.

Anyway, that was not the point of my comment. I just meant Atif is not forgotten. He would have been singing & doing well in BW if he wasn't banned because of his country.

Atif isn’t good technically and some of his songs are quite badly sung lol. But he does have a unique voice plus is handsome..so 😆

I also think Mahira Khan paired up really well with SRK in Raees. She would have done well too!

Agree about Atif. He's not the best Pakistan has to offer but his voice is unique. At his peak, he really had a star aura about him.
