My question was about whether Adi knows he jumped over Malini literally to go save Imlie.....and as Fary and I were discussing, no, he doesn't seem to know that's what he did....all he knows is what AC and others pointed out....that he was carrying Imlie out in his arms rather than Malini.....and that is what he is overcompensating for right now. That much is still an easy thing for him to explain ki mujhe Imlie pehle mil gayi toh main use baahar le aaya out of general humanity blah blah.

But the truth toh only Malini saw that he overlooked her and went to Imlie.....and she is too much of a coward to discuss it upfront with him. That said, Adi still smoothly lied to Malini when he claimed that he was so worried for her.....he was busy doing his work more than trying to look for Malini....but I guess that also is all part of his normal emotion towards Malini so in his own head he doesn't think that's a lie either.....lol he really is a piece of work😆.

I agree with your point that Adi's personality is to choose to answer only what he wants to...he behaves like he is above it all and he isn't answerable to anyone. With Malini, he grovels etc. to divert her attention but the first fight over the car issue shows that when he chooses to dig in, he can dig in big time and decide he doesn't want to answer to Malini either. It feels so long ago now but that fight only got resolved cuz of Imlie's shikayat waali poem....lol who knows how long it may have dragged on otherwise?

Oh ok gotch you... but yes he does not know that he leaped over Malini. There was that flashback when Anu pointed out but I guess it was more for viewers than him thinking back. If he knew about it and he choose to ignore it, then it whole character is gone for a toss

At this point only Malini knows about it and she is choosing to ignore it or is doing everything to get reassured. His whole guilt and the overcompensation is because he kept his work above her and was the one who forced her to go. He was worried about her all right but not much that he would forget about his work like he did for Imlie😉

@bold I think he does put his foot down when it’s very important for him like with the car or with Imlie education. It’s almost like he chooses his fight with her. One can also say that he is all Ok with her and her nakraz and ready to go extra mile as long as it does affect his self respect or dignity, work and now Imlie.

Well, wonder who will be more surprised to hear for him, that where Imlie comes before work (cannot remember any incident if she come above his khuddari) Malani comes after work.

My reasoning behind watching this has always been the immense possibilities an AdiLie relationship has. However much I rant about their shortcomings, Imlie’s potential uplifting journey with Aditya is what keeps me going. And that is why i do not care as much about how much of a pendulum they make him.

I think Adi has made the biggest mistakes of the three....but in terms of flaws, I find him and Malini to be equally messed up in their own ways especially because they have both equally contributed to building up such a fake relationship between them and they still continue to make it worse with their respective delusions and insecurities.

Adi will remain the biggest culprit among the three cuz he CHOSE to commit bigamy....no one can erase that from his record. He CHOSE to not dissolve his marriage to Imlie before marrying Malini and dragging her into this. So on some level, I'm also watching to see him get the Karmic CHAPED for that kaand at some point😆.

But I do still want to see how this journey between him and Imlie is navigated....yes it's very messy but if handled well, it can grow into something beautiful too. Whether or not it grows into its potential, only time will tell. What works right now is the fact that the actors are portraying the nuances very well.....which is already far above the general baseline of ITV right now😆.

At this point am forced to think whether general junta even remembers what storytelling and nuance is anymore.. since the general perception has changed to superficiality and tokenbaazi only that is considered progressive and epic.. ( and I shouldn't get into how laughworthy the use of epic is for everything 😆) so yes I do appreciate that despite the mess there is so much to explore with each character and the web they are all trapped in.. atlest har kisi ka apna pros cons and individuality toh hai rather than just stand in crowd and repeat lines and be tiktokers matlab uspe zyada acting hoti hai then their so called characters.... and have more substance then so called "epics" they play and get hype for .. 🤷‍♀️

Oh this is a very interesting point you've made....and the more I'm thinking about it....yes, that does seem consistent with what they've shown so far.....he will otherwise uthaao all of Malini's nakhras and pamper her/grovel in front of her but there are some hard boundaries that he doesn't budge on....mainly his work/self-respect...and yes, now Imlie is joining that list.

LOL will the writers even show that he puts Imlie before work? They only show it to us as the audience....baaki sab characters ko conveniently amnesia mode mein rakhte hain.

LOL one bit from the last scene I keep forgetting to mention......when he makes Imlie drink the milk and uske baad he says, "Why do you have to unnecessarily COMPLICATE things"? 😆

Beta kabhi khud bhi apni actions dekh lo jinse tum kya kya COMPLICATE karte ho.....but saara blame Imlie par daal deta hai delusional aadmi.

I think in that scene is was not platonic at all. It was all that suppressed subconscious caring that was coming out and his whole focus was on what is she upset about, is she hurting etc. I thought thats why Malini did this whole gas thing to bring the focus back on her. Like it was so weird that she just started talking about gas and chula kind of showing that I know him better. I might be wrong though😛

But this pendulum that he doing where he showing the care for Imlie and then is being overtly romantic with Malini, is playing with Imlie’s head. She is not really sure where she stands with him. I think if she is smart enough she should just create this distance with him which should confuse him like it today thus giving him a dose of his own medicin 😛

Exactly that is what I said yesterday too. It's not like he does it knowingly iska sach main hi apne pe iss tareeke se control nahi hai all the touches come so impulsively caz woh apnapan has grown he has taken her in his circle so he uses his freedom to take that liberty with touching her so much.. to him it is platonic casual but as a general public nahi hai na it is very personal space of her which he enters when he claims ke kuch bhi nahi hai na dost na pati na kuch aur.. it is really not dawning upon him the nature of all that is switching and becoming awkward for her caz of their complex bonding.. what may seem harmless and casual to him does impact her given her emotion sickness and her faith in their bond..

Ok, my brain isn't working much on the precap front but I have a theory regarding the college track😆.

Imlie will try her best to get admission into some college away from this city so that she can live in the hostel....this may happen either with Adi's suggestion or based on her own conclusion that she needs to get away from Adi-Malini......all along, Adi may encourage her/motivate her.....she may ultimately get the admission and everyone will celebrate......but as the time for her to leave starts drawing closer, Adi and her both will feel conflicted....lol like a repeat of the track when Adi thought he will be rid of her for good when she leaves for PD😆.

In the end, something will happen that she won't be able to get admission in the college she wanted and will somehow end up at Malini's college as a last resort😆....so problem solved for Adi again - both biwis still in his house, and now in the same college too😆.

I was thinking the exact same thing ki he is the complication ka guru who took the decision to marry even though he was married, made it more complicated by not divorcing but taking responsibility of the first wife, then is keeping both wives in the same house without a nary a worry and then saved the first wife by leaping over the second wife without looking at her 🤣 and he has the himmat to ask Imlie why do you complicate things? This is called redefining Delusion 😆😆
