Retreating into fakeness again - Page 14

I think the writers of this Imli story are confused and are promoting incorrect thoughts in Imili's mind about Adi as pure love. Not sure why she attempted to save Mailini, whom she is back stabbing now.

In Imli house, all doors are left open with no privacy so every one can hear what others are talking and drop items from shelf after they are shocked.

The one who is really smart is Malini's Mom who is now made to look like a villain. She is quick to suspect Imli's awkwardness with Adi and even if Imli is Mailini's sister by relation it does not make it right to take away her sister's husband under the garb of true love.

If true love can sprout out of no where without control of mind, with anyone, there will be chaos.

Writers are promoting the theory to the audience that it is OK to fall in love with anyone in the name of true love, even if it disintegrates a home.

Also accidentally applying sindoor in somebody' s maang does not make someone husband and wife. This way we can have millions of quick marriages.

Strange regressive serials which are promoting deceit and dishonest thoughts as noble.

Malini's dad thinks that by embracing Imli he becomes a great human, but what about the fact that he deceived his wife. What if like him his wife had another child out of an accidental affair outside her marriage. Will he accept his wife and his illegitimate daughter.

Marriage is bound by vows the couple takes which they follow for a lifetime.

Also keeping an adolescent girl and pampering her in a household can lead to many unwanted

scenarios.

Truly a regressive serial.

I think his character survived a major chunk of that time cuz they balanced his perspective better than they are doing right now.....Up until the gunshot epis, the story wasn't in the daily whiplash mode that it currently is. And Adi's character was consistent about his anger/frustration/resentment of Imlie, so his sense of delusion and fakeness wasn't as grating.

What they are doing now with the daily quota of ek Adi-Imlie scene followed up by OTT fake Adi-Malini scene in nearly every epi or every alternate epi is what's degrading the characters and the storyline. There isn't that sense that they are showing two different relationships moving in parallel...it feels more like they are checking off a daily quota box of a standard scene with either pair.....especially because of the lack of continuity in the thought process of any of the characters from one scene to the next. We are shown endless scenes of "suspicious" Malini and then there is no follow up....we are shown Malini literally seeing her husband looking through her and we aren't even shown WHY she chooses to unsee it.....lol all we get in the name of that is an OTT fake mush scene. It's just poor writing then.

I have a problem with the basic premise of Aditya’s character. Irrespective of his initial treatment of Imlie. Laachar bane rehna was a choice for this guy. Gunpoint shaadi had a justification - there were guns and he was scared. Uske baad jo jo isne kiya, koi na koi reason deke he decided he was doing the right thing.

Ab he has given up on his laachari - woh bhi Imlie hi sambhal lethi hai aajkal making sure their lie does not get unraveled. He is just complacent. The only way they can show his ties with Imlie tightening is by throwing scraps like the rescue or taking her into his room.

What I am trying to say ghuma phirake is Aditya is the most flawed of the lot. Toh the pendulum like swings in his behavior is not surprising. I would not expect anything else from him at this point. I do not think I will even like when he decides Imlie is the one. I love the pair but there’s too much unnecessary mess that cannot be cleaned.

Malini ke toh blinders hai hi. Apart from some insecure moments in between. Even those get overridden kyun ki either Aditya manages her or Imlie pe uska khud ka lagaav badh jaatha hai.

Agree - if the makers are going the Adilie route - why even make Adi say lines like he did yesterday? It does nothing more than show him as fake and unsubstantial. Any Adilie interaction after this for a while is going to leave a bas taste in the mouth. I guess it served the purpose of weirding Imlie out. I hope she learns her lesson - but the wide smile in the precap does not make it seem so.

The moment Malini saw Adi made milk for Imli too - she went into another of her irrational dialogues about stove etc.

When is this phase going to end? At some point they will both realize the truth? So Adi will hang on to his promises to Moon even when he realizes his love for Imli or will he want to walk away from all of his promises?? He ends up the duffer of the show either way :) and Anu the only sensible one.

This falling in love aka "true love" never ends. Tomorrow there could be a more impressive person Adi comes across after Imli reached a saturation point in his interest and she can become his "true love"

The writers should not promote such ideas and add to diluting moral values in our society.

Lol it is like Finiding new things lol chote chote comparisons sprinkled all over 😆 lol at adi's baad main kya abhi piyo mere saamne ghatak jao😆 using his authoritative tone while again just min ago when his pyari moon refused to have the milk he made out of so much concern she put it aside and he just mildly chided her and it went phur she kept it aside and he forgot all about it

Makes one wonder if he really was making it for imlie in first place only and then saath main as bonus moon ke liye bhi daal dia🤣🤣

But these things should come with more clarity so we don't get pissed off so much in first viewing

Adi ko worry khaye jaa rahi thi he did mention ek dum haq se n shikayat/fikar/care zone ke tumne theka lia hai sabka apna dhyaan nahi rakhti you silly girl but I guess I didn't click for imlie or us then caz of what else we witnessed just before 😆 warna babusahib ka sab phir bhi evident tha.. he never told his moon any of the things like that even then his tone had so much formality and Vachon Shashan woh ek comfortable casualness was missing he said such huge lines but it lacked any emotion or genuine concern even then he was pampering her indulging her but again very put on vibe going on. Hadh toh yeh hai not.once he bothered to.ask.his pyari moon ke ab aap feeling better or no or you should rest ultra movie dikha raha tha to make up for her stupid wish 🤣

While with imlie the moment he saw her his facial expressions changed watch that part again the way worry took over with his are you hurting somewhere why did you come this late and the tenderness in his tone again at that part as if isko hi chot lag gayi hai meanwhile moon ke sarr main takkar maari 🤣

I rewatched just that part again minus the pda and understood it better lol

Edit: forgot to add he expected her to show her pain to him🤣 itne bhare pade ghar main she would come to you only hi babusahib that too to show her pain as if you have given her a reason to do so😆 expectations yeh bhi rakhta hai but maanega nahi

You know, I noticed all this the first time I watched the scene also but I was too irritated with him😆.

Sab kuch notable tha....his tone was notably different when he said, "Imlie" and then the way he showed his concern was markedly different from the way he showed concern for Malini.....there was a softness to his tone, a sort of connection to Imlie's discomfort/pain more vividly than the way he'd been shown fussing over Malini jahaan pe sab ek put on feel de raha tha ki look I'm fulfilling your grand romantic dream, main kitna loving hoon etc. etc.....I guess wohi contrast tha...ek taraf "love" tha aur ek taraf genuine concern.....ab concern chaahe hi genuine tha, woh effective nahin lagaa cuz he had already done an overdose of "love", chaahe woh dikhaave wala hi tha.....and this is what I mean ki itna back to back karne mein sab whiplash and ineffective ho jaata hai.

But then it all got extra weird/irritating with Malini's random "aap gas on chhhod aaye honge" bit.....I know they used that excuse to get her out of the scene but it was hella contrived even then. It was also quite bizarre cuz no matter how much Malini wants to remain in denial and she supposedly feels "secure" after Adi gives her a dose of romance, it was still weird that she rushed off to shut off some gas in the middle of that convo😕😆.

As for Adi....lol yes, he was full on jataaoing haq on Imlie ki bataao mujhe if you are in pain/discomfort....you have to drink the milk, meri baat maanni padegi, meri taraf dekho, kahaan khoyi ho etc. etc....for once, Imlie wasn't giving in to his demands that easily and she was showing her discomfort/agitation....and weirdly, he was surprised by that as if yeh apna haq maanta hai ki Imlie isko sab bataayegi.....lol kyun bhai? 😛....waise toh he's quite content ki pura din ghar mein bahut log hote hain Imlie ke aas paas so that he can fade into the crowd and not have to check on her but jab mood banta hai toh he wants Imlie's complete attention😆.

See, from the first we were seeing that there is an issue, Aditya does his groveling act and everything is OK. Today was exactly the same, but now there is a big elephant in the room.

From Aditya side, he is not thinking about his action about Imlie or the why he did it because he is just putting it in under his farz and responsibility category. But not making Malini his priority is pricking him especially as he was the one who forced her to go. He did not have an answer but he knows he goofed up, not because he helped Imlie, but by not making Malini his priority over work. He is not even touching the "why" because he sees no reason to do it. This is the norm.

Oh my point wasn't about whether Adi and Malini aren't doing what's in their characterization....yes, I know this is the status quo between them and they've had a fake relationship for a long time that they are comfortable with in their delusions and will continue to be for the foreseeable future.

My question was about whether Adi knows he jumped over Malini literally to go save Imlie.....and as Fary and I were discussing, no, he doesn't seem to know that's what he did....all he knows is what AC and others pointed out....that he was carrying Imlie out in his arms rather than Malini.....and that is what he is overcompensating for right now. That much is still an easy thing for him to explain ki mujhe Imlie pehle mil gayi toh main use baahar le aaya out of general humanity blah blah.

But the truth toh only Malini saw that he overlooked her and went to Imlie.....and she is too much of a coward to discuss it upfront with him. That said, Adi still smoothly lied to Malini when he claimed that he was so worried for her.....he was busy doing his work more than trying to look for Malini....but I guess that also is all part of his normal emotion towards Malini so in his own head he doesn't think that's a lie either.....lol he really is a piece of work😆.

I agree with your point that Adi's personality is to choose to answer only what he wants to...he behaves like he is above it all and he isn't answerable to anyone. With Malini, he grovels etc. to divert her attention but the first fight over the car issue shows that when he chooses to dig in, he can dig in big time and decide he doesn't want to answer to Malini either. It feels so long ago now but that fight only got resolved cuz of Imlie's shikayat waali poem....lol who knows how long it may have dragged on otherwise?

I know it was totally random and the timing too aapne banaya and then the weird gas thing 😏😒 reminding me of the lame way she started random banter out of nowhere during the likhai scene too it is like she uses the stupidest excuses to get attention again she kept going jaa rahi hoon ja rahi Hoon arre jao na it is like.hoping ke godi utha ke trip pe leke jao her and leave her alone her indirect ways of diverting the attention room really gets annoying and agar gas check.karni hai toh announcement ke baghair chali jao but isko chubh gaya tha phir se ke adi ne banaya and all she can find is some gas mehh

And wohi toh isn't it the same adi hammering it in her head to stay as far away as possible and now he is like come to me if you are in pain.. hypothetically what then adi.. aisa kya karoge tum to comfort her allowed hai kya tumhein kisi tarah se comfortable karwana tumhari malini allow karegi tumhein

Curious then to know what you are watching the story for😆....you love the pair but you don't want them to be together since it's too messy? 😆....so what's the point of watching all this then?

I think Adi has made the biggest mistakes of the three....but in terms of flaws, I find him and Malini to be equally messed up in their own ways especially because they have both equally contributed to building up such a fake relationship between them and they still continue to make it worse with their respective delusions and insecurities.

Adi will remain the biggest culprit among the three cuz he CHOSE to commit bigamy....no one can erase that from his record. He CHOSE to not dissolve his marriage to Imlie before marrying Malini and dragging her into this. So on some level, I'm also watching to see him get the Karmic CHAPED for that kaand at some point😆.

But I do still want to see how this journey between him and Imlie is navigated....yes it's very messy but if handled well, it can grow into something beautiful too. Whether or not it grows into its potential, only time will tell. What works right now is the fact that the actors are portraying the nuances very well.....which is already far above the general baseline of ITV right now😆.

I think this was Adi trying to be his "new and improved" version with Imlie 😆....since he's claimed that he will now be nice to her and won't be rude/meant to her all the time, toh ab yeh dusri direction mein chala gaya hai with showing concern so overtly and all😆.....but it still felt weird cuz the way he does it doesn't give a platonic general concern vibe😆. Maybe he THINKS that's what it's like but his tone, his body language in showing the concern for Imlie is not in the platonic zone.....he was speaking softly to her, haq se uske sar/kandhe pe haath rakh raha tha....then the way he was asking her again and again to tell him what's wrong, asking her to look at him.....it was all giving it an intimate vibe than a general concern vibe😆. And it just felt kinda icky cuz it came right after his OTT mush session with Malini in the room.

This is why I guess you were also saying yesterday na ki isse achha toh yeh gusse/daant zone mein hi rehta🤣.....tab boundaries were more clearly demarcated.....but in his "nice" mode with Imlie, he starts to get carried away I feel.....and it feels all the more bizarre cuz he acts like he has nothing to feel guilty over but then jaake Malini ke saath overcompensate bhi karta rehta hai.....lol ajeeb golmaal hai.
