I really doubt then Ekta will make season 2. She don't even talk about it as far I know.

Imagine it from Ekta's viewpoint na. She finally sees the vampire genre as one that can break her stereotypes and actually cater the youth for a change. She puts a lot of hardwork and dedication into the script, casting, director, background music etc so that once she sets the mood right with the initial 30 or so episodes, the director can take over. Casting Abhay must've been the most difficult due to the comparisons to Edward Cullen. Ekta must have gone thru God knows how many audition tapes before settling on Vivian. She also sanctioned the first few episodes to be filmed outdoor in Panchgini, which was unheard for a relatively low budget Star ONE. And everything finally came together, the audience started to love it and became a high rated drama.

Then your lead actor starts to date another co-star...okay not a problem as long as he focusses on his work and promotes AbhIya and gives interview with his on screen romantic interest. But our hero wears his heart on his sleeve and makes it all about his real life girlfriend, who doesn't seem to like the idea of him romancing anyone on screen (to the extent that once she became his voice his hugs and normal romantic scenes also reduced greatly in number).

Your lead hero and heroine who had tremendous off screen camaraderie are now not even talking to each other and this definitely has to do with the real life girlfriend's interference. The cast is made to chose sides, which is evident in off screen photos. Now writing a romantic scene (what fans want) becomes extremely difficult and I am sure the girlfriend was standing right behind the camera. You cannot fire your hero because he has become way too popular and your show will shut down. Months of effort has come down to this.

Finally the writers decide to kill off said girlfriend's on screen character. But she remains on set...aur koi kaam dhanda toh hai nahi na. Tell me Ekta wouldn't be pissed!

Vivian did suffer the most in real life...he let his childlike innocence get the better of him. If you'd read the divorce articles you'd know what I am saying...I don't say all of it is true, but there's no smoke without fire.

PKYEK season 2 can happen, but the actors will have to remaining freaking professionals. And they should...at the end of the day its a pay job.

That's why am saying the show wasn't easy on team members. If theories are anything to go by then every cast and member was involved in the issues. The issue can be deeper than we're thinking and maybe a sore memory for everyone, for all we know.

So, its highly unlikely that Ekta will try to bring everyone back under the same banner that has bitter experiences.

Maybe that's why Ekta tried afresh and make Kuch toh hai an unofficial version of pkyek.

But somehow I fail to see her efforts

in Kuch toh hai.

See then what I’m failing to understand, while she obviously couldn’t fire VD, why couldn’t she have done it with lady VD she isn’t the producer or director, so why would ekta kapoor, the woman who can easily make or break an actor’s career, tolerate it?

or at least talk with them and be like “hey, this is affecting the show and so on....” so tone it down a bit 😆

and after they killed her character, she can come to set that’s fine but don’t interfere with the shooting 😕 I feel like ekta definitely holds power here and she either wasn’t using it or she was and it wasn’t getting through? Sometimes enough is enough you know?

Also I think lady VD did some live talk or interview or something with Wal and Karnick a few months ago on Instagram or something, which I found weird because choosing sides thing (mainly with Wal)

yeah if it was just one issue, then it would’ve been handled I feel. Wonder if several stemmed from this one issue or there were other issues we fans weren’t aware of 😆
