But , here they totally risk their marriage by telling especially when t he y feel what they did is wrong and not to repeat it . If they are in love and tell their partners about affair then why lie to each other when they can be together actually.
it’s more like they did not care about marriage until they had it and valued it after they did everything to break it . it’s screwed up ! If only it was just attraction ... th Rey has to add sanctity to it and hence flippant use of word ‘ love’

Ah... yeah I agree that it's stupid to give their attraction as much weight as "love." I watched the movie once, quickly, a long time back, skipping bits and pieces and never looked back cuz it was unwatchable. So I might have missed the gory details on love and whatnot.

No. His character was the absolute worst in Anjaam. The domestic abuse scenes were soo torturous and unwatchable.

To people who are calling SRK's character in Anjaam worse than the cheater in KANK, are we forgetting that he was an actual psychopath in Anjaam? Can a psychopath and a "bad" husband be pitted against each other in terms of morality and ethical codes? It can be either one bad husband (KANK) vs another bad husband (HTHS) or one psychopath (Anjaam) vs another psychopath (Bazigar)... I thought.

There is nothing wrong with the concept of the movie. Just the acting was so terrible man srk and rani sucked big time.

Rani was terrible acting I watched it once but felt she was just uncomfortable with this role. Probably coz she had been the mistress before lol.

They should have got another actress it might have been different

Acting and characterisation was terrible dev and Maya deserved one another. They were just pathetic.

Adultery happens.

Good people cheat on spouses for various reasons or without reason.

Losers and bad people cheat on spouses for various reasons or without reason.

Problem is in a movie no one wants to watch 2 all-around losers who've consistently behaved badly toward their respective significant others win in the end AND have it portrayed as though it were a happy ending. I think if it were just left as such and the audience were allowed to decide what kind of movie it was, it wouldn't have generated so much annoyance.

I don't remember if the movie glorified their infidelity or not, but just to add some thoughts to this topic, I do know that SRK and Rani were two of the most popular and loved actors of their time when KANK came out and their roles in KANK were completely out of their usual element. So I can imagine people not being able to reconcile their fondness towards them as "Rahul" and "Tina" ... and the despicable characters they were in KANK.

Fans might have wanted to root for them and some probably did too because they just love the actors so much and not because their infidelity was acceptable in the movie. I've noticed that a lot of people have a hard time drawing the line between actors and their characters. They're either out and out hero's or anti-heroes... hardly ever do they come up with shades of grey that keeps it real. KANK tried to walk that line -- two very loved actors in two very unlikeable characters ... that's also bound to cause discomfort among people.
