Lestrade came out of the house and sighed, “Well, well, well. If it isn’t Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson here to prove Scotland Yard idiots.”

“Lestrade you know that’s not what we do. We just help people out,” I objected.

“Yes and make Scotland Yard look like a bunch of fools. Fine. The crime scene is intact inside. You can only look, no touching, and no taking anything away,” Lestrade warned. Then he looked around, “Where’s Holmes?”

“Stuck in a pressing matter. It’ll just be myself and Player. He will help us, but we will have to go back to the rooms to call on his help,” I responded.

“Well good luck then,” Lestrade shrugged.

He stepped away and I made the way to the door, looking at the ground carefully for footprints, just like Sherlock always did. Not seeing any, I stepped into the house, followed by Player, and made my way to the crime scene, Emil’s study (or office).

Before examining the crime scene, note that you have to find 5 major clues – apart from the dead body – and there are a few minor clues. Below are 5 riddles that will lead you to the 5 major clues only. Each correct riddle will give you 2 points and, of course, the clue. Along with that you will get some special info from Holmes about each clue. There are a few minor clues that you won’t get points for, I simply mention them because they will be useful later on (and will be pointed out at the right time).

Once you solve all the riddles, you will send a PM to me. For every correct answer, I will send you some information (that will be revealed in Round 2's story). Round 1 ends on Feb 25th 11:59 PM IST.

EDIT: Just to clarify, no resubmissions allowed. Once you send me your answers they are final.

EDIT 2: The pic is related to the riddles. Use it wisely.

Riddle 1 – I can be loud, I can be quiet. I can whistle or I can be silent. When I find my mark, I let out the colour red. What am I?

Riddle 2 – I can run, walk, sit, or stand. I will always be your faithful companion. My tongue sticks out and yet has no bone. What am I?

Riddle 3 – What demands an answer, but asks no questions?

Riddle 4 – I come in many shapes and sizes. I can be used in many places. I am easy to waste and if you burn me up, then you have to save me on time to get anything out of me. What am I?

Riddle 5 – Open me, be sent to another world. Close me and come back to this world. What am I?
