is Bollywood Industry orientated towards Pakistan?

Bollywood industry seems to be more orientated towards Pakistan and Pakistan culture than India. Part of the reason for that is, like 80% bollywood stars are of Punjabi origin and 50% of Pakistans population is Punjabi. Many bollywood stars grandfathers came from the Pakistani side. Also the use of Urdu is so obvious in Bollywood songs and dialogues, especially older movies. I think other than Punjab and some North west parts of India, there is very little to connect Bollywood with rest of India. I know people from all over India watch Bollywood, but I am talking about cultural connection. Really people from South India/Central India and Eastern India have very little to do with Bollywood culturally. Even the way many actors/actresses look, they look more similar to Pakistanis then to Indians from South/Central/Eastern Areas. Do you agree?

This is also the reason Bollywood is a huge market in Pakistan. Imgaine if Bollywood used Marathi or any other language from rest of India, like 0% of Pakistanis would watch it.

Also I think if borders were opened, the majority of Bollywood actors/actresses would be Pakistanis. especially Bollywood loves to get fairskinned actresses, and Pakistanis have those in abundance

80% of Bollywood stars have Punjabi origin in order to cater to Pakistan? And Urdu is overly used also for the same reason? Are you trolling or are you serious? 😕

I'm a south Indian and I like the use of Urdu and love Punjabi characters in films and usage of Punjabi in songs. Aren't we supposed to be a diverse country?

Also, South film Industries don't necessarily cater to North/East/Central India so are they also catering to Pakistan?

South film industries love fair skinned heroines. What does that have to do with Pakistan?

I don’t understand ‘ being oriented’ but definitely they go the extra mile to make sure that the Pakistanis and people from the Middle-East can better relate to their product so that they can make more money. A large part of the Khan success also is because of this factor. I guess its simple Economics one-o-one! If the money is not coming in, trust me nothing else will motivate them.

Ur trolling right? By that logic shouldn't Indians say that Pakistanis look similar to Indians since its a newer country?! 🤓

Are u forgetting that there was no Pakistan before 1947? We are basically the same DNA and genetics wise. If tested an Indian Kashmiri, Punjabi, Himachali, Uttrakhandi will share similar DNA to those on the Pakistani side. Hell even many South Indians whose forefathers migrated from North to South a long time ago will share similarities genetics wise, even if they have more Southernised names now.

Urdu was born and developed in India way before Pakistan existed and it shares more similarities to Hindi, which developed from Sanskrit. If we did films in only Hindi you would understand it, just like we understand Urdu.

And about Bollywood families being from Pakistan: Mehdi Hassan, Liaqat Ali Khan, Pervez Mussharaf were all born in India because there were no two countries before 1947, it was all India.

Pakistan's culture is also taken from India because we were ONE COUNTRY. Other than religion beliefs don't we have everything in common?

India's biggest female actors: Sridevi (Telugu), Madhuri Dixit (Maharashtrian), Kajol and Rani Mukherjee (Bengalis), Deepika Padukone (Konkani) and Priyanka Chopra (Punjabi). If that isn't diversity idk what is.

Each region in India has its own cinema but Bollywood is still dominating major markets, barring South. And even South Indian films are not overly representative, had they been made in Hindi they could easily pass off as Bollywood. A regional language done film would not be watched by major Indians because each state hs it sown language and the entire country does not speak it; wouldn't Pakistanis have the same problem if the films were made in Balochi or Pashto?

Imma just gonna leave this map of British India here:
