Which is your favourite feminist film?
Thappad - One act of violence brings into sharp relief all the fissures in the relationship of husband-wife and the uneasy, imbalanced power equation that exists between them

Bubbul - The horrors of patriarchy outweigh the horrors of the supernatural, and in some ways, the former leads to the latter

Queen - A cathartic coming-of-age tale, where a rejected bride-to-be embarks on a journey of self-discovery

English Vinglish - Learning a new language becomes a metaphor for shedding the burdens of patriarchy

Haven't watched the first two so I have only two options 😆
English Vinglish it is for me👍🏼 There's something about the movie which attracts me❤️ also Sridevi looked so subtle and beautiful in it
Queen too is good👍🏼

I agree, English Vinglish is a gem of a movie❤️
I've watched it 5 times already, and I never get bored. Sridevi is just too good in it, it's like she IS Shashi, I see no traces of Sridevi but the way she has essayed the character is just so layered and wonderful!
I would have included Lajja (2001) but the tonality of that movie is problematic for me
I liked everything about English Vinglish except the ending.

Yeah the ending kind of defeated the very purpose of the movie.
I have not yet seen Thappad or Bulbul.
Queen and English Vinglish are super close. But I pick English Vinglish because of Sridevi's performance, the overall story, and having an older married woman as the protagonist. I would genuinely love to see movies with older women in the center and talented actresses never having a shortage of roles no matter how old they are.
Queen is a lovely film too in its own right.

You must watch these 2 movies❤️
I choose Queen because It taught Self love like no one .
Bulbbul, as good as it was is not in the same league as the others.
English Vinglish, Queen and Thappad are elite level cinema.
EV for me is Top 10 of all-time. Thappad is the best film I've seen in the last 2-3 years. Queen is amazing but sadly I have avoided watching it again recently because I can't stand the lead actress, what to do.
