I think it is something related to store and Gautam getting married. Something like once Gautam gets married the store will be owned by his wife or they will get something but I think both are related else Gautam's mother wouldn't be in such hurry to let Gautam know the truth before the marriage.

I think Dhara's mother did something like destroy your own home or run away with someone i.e why everybody keeps taunting Dhara and about her marriage. After Dhara's father passed away Gautam's father gave them all the support and love and that is how they are all friends.
