Absolutely! Story and acting wise Malayam industry is outstanding. It doesn't do them justice to bunch them with other south industries. They are not known for the same type of movies

Nope. South Indian industries are way ahead of Bollywood. The top three grossers of all time are still South movies (Bahubali 2, 1, and 2.0).

Even regional cinema in India is superior to Bollywood. Bollywood was good at making wholesome entertainers but these days, it's basically trying to be European or woke.

Would watch films from South industries any day over the cringeworthy content Bollywood produces these days.

I have watched a lot of South Indian films. Mostly Telugu, then Tamil and Malayalam. I mostly tend to like or love them. They are either pretty entertaining or really really emotional. Some are like totally different and unique. They do have an engaging story as well. I tried watching few Kannada films. Never able to like them with the exception of KGF which I loved.

I can't say the same about Bollywood films. It's mostly same old same old. Bollywood has degraded a lot. The entertainment has been missing for quite some time now. Obviously there are some good ones. But they are very few.

Even now I feel Rajamouli's next RRR is going to be loved across all demographics among Indians. He is a genius like Raju Hirani. South films just manage to connect at a visceral level.
