Word about how expressive Imlie's face is....that is exactly what I keep noticing in many scenes too....she can portray quite a range of emotions very naturally! But she is at her cutest when she's being mischievous and laughing in a carefree manner....pyara baccha lagti hai ekdum😆

Re: Adi's dialogue....lol even I watched it from his perspective at the time but now after watching 60 epis and seeing the state of his marriage with Moon, mujhe lag raha hai he's going to find out the real meaning of pinjra and pankh soon😆

Re: Adi....actually now that I think about it, it's even more obvious in hindsight....Adi claims that Malini is the love of his life, but she still was shown mostly having to chase him down to spend time with him to believe her importance in his life😆.....here, within hours of meeting him, Imlie managed to make him let go and soak in the atmosphere rather than fixate on an assignment or work. He is almost instantly comfortable bantering with her like they've been doing it for ages.....she teases him about Malini and he doesn't feel like it's an encroachment....he instantly almost haq se starts daantoing her with that "Eh jhalli".....they exchange ideas and viewpoints and bond over those too.

I feel like with Malini he is not himself like khulke. He holds back with Malini it seems. Like he will say what she would like to hear, instead of what is true. While with Imlie he is just himself .

I liked that scene where he calls her jhalli after talking to Malini. 😆 Whenever Adi is not shouting at her, every now and then they do have some really good and meaningful conversation. That is what I love the most , they actually talk about their fears and what they are thinking.

For 7 years, Adi has built up Malini as a checkmark in life that he always kept putting off as his work took precedence. Whether through lack of initiative or through destiny, his relationship with Malini never really managed to rise to a certain height of connection. With Imlie, within a day of meeting her, both through instinct and destiny, a new Adi emerged that he had never made time for before, even with his mohabbat Malini in his life....lol.....it does feel in many ways like Imlie connected Adi to himself without him really realizing how it happened.....that is why he's not fully able to process or comprehend it....even moreso since the forced shaadi made everything topsy turvy.

Oh word to everything....itna range tha is scene mein....like his love for her was just spilling over into every gesture....koi bhi ek "zimmedaari" ko aise sahej ke caress nahin karta like the way he was caressing her forehead, kissing her forehead earlier in the rain.....it's like uski jaan atki hui thi and tabhi sukoon aaya when she opened her eyes briefly....the big smile of relief on his face and the repeated "jhalli jhalli jhalli" said so much.

Yeh scene maine itni baar dekh liya while gif-ing and the impact still comes through.....some really good writing/acting/direction👏

Haan this is a good point too....Mrs. C does loom large over his relationship with Malini whether or not him and Malini realize. Unko lagta hai ki it's the usual parental disapproval but inki aapas mein ek dusre ke saath understanding hai.....but I don't think they are realizing the gaps that exist in their relationship.

Abhi post marriage bhi ek scene mein Malini says to Adi ki promise me you will never be angry with me or speak badly to me.....and I was like LOL....has she not seen how this guy gets in guilt and helplessness? Koi Imlie se puchho kya kya sides dekhi hain usne😆.....Moon really has no idea about all facets of Adi's personality.....Imlie has seen his extremes....he unloads his emotions on Imlie quite freely without fully realizing it. Good or bad, he lets it all out with Imlie.

Word to this....I was saying something similar to Fary in my previous reply too....he does hold back with Malini.....even moreso now since he tried to tell her the truth about his marriage to Imlie one time and Malini had an anxiety attack. Toh since that point, he's started holding back even more.....and that can't be healthy for any relationship long term.

With Imlie, he was himself even when he first met her....and now post their shaadi, it's like the shared secret brings them closer in a sense and he can let go his emotions with Imlie that he otherwise has to keep hidden from everyone else because only she shares this truth with him.

This pinjra and pankh dialogue also reminds me of the other scene which I loved and my heart broke for Imlie💔 The one where she tells Adi to marry without any guilt. I can’t remember the words now, but she said something about how relationship does not have any meaning if you do not have trust in it. That time I actually felt that dialogue is apt for Malini!! That whole dialogue and the way it was worded and acted was beautiful.

I do feel that for her, her real family is still Meethi and Satyakaam....she places them above all else, but yes, she has deeply bonded with Adi's family not necessarily cuz they are in her in-laws but on a general level also. She does subconsciously consider them family cuz she subconsciously has accepted Adi's place in her life via marriage.....but she doesn't dwell on this consciously until Adi starts questioning why she cares about him or his family.....that is when she almost blurts out who they are to her.

Meethi and satyakaam are her real family but i think with them she didn't had the stability and they were still unconventional. ofcourse they don't need labels caz the pyar is deep rooted but i think that is something she yearned for too which is why i think she asked her mother too ke shaadi kar leni chahiye thi eventhough how does it matter ke hui ke nahi and waise bhi satyakaam is mostly out so i think it is more to do with the stability too..just a thought... not that i am saying ke she loves sasural walas more nope but i think ti makes her crave for an extended family and a stability

But Dutta ofcourse was a darker/brooding character....Adi is different but what's similar is the way she looks up to him and is also protective of him....while he is affected by her words in way he isn't by anyone else's.

ikr it was remarkable how he could find comfort in her int hat moment the only one he could actually show his state of mind too caz aur koi na samjhta uss waqt so when she came bina bulaye it mattered. yeah she has that badi pyari naku wali comfort and consoling property... and she has that positivity and warmth matlab ek dum banda at ease ho jaaye

LOL arey not that directly yet, no😆.....but I feel it will happen soon. Waise toh him and Malini as usual have barely managed to spend time together since the shaadi also😆....first night mein Imlie se galti se interruption ho gayi....then Imlie got sick so everyone's attention got diverted there😆....next day pagphere the....but that day only Adi got assigned to go to Pagdandiya for another story😆....so honeymoon bhi cancel ho gaya😆.....whatever little time they've spent together has mostly gotten connected to Imlie somehow cuz Malini keeps pulling her in for all kinds of things....lol

Now in the aftermath of Imlie almost dying in his arms, I think Adi might find it hard to get in the mood for romance with the wife he so badly wanted to start a new life with😆

On you're talking about the faith scene.....I loved that one too.....me and Fary talked about it a lot some pages back....and yes, I was also struck by that irony that Malini doesn't realize how trust works really....while Imlie understands how faith counts more than the rituals themselves.

I am avoiding watching all these GIFS 😆 So no comments on these episodes! I will have to comeback after watching.

@bold: Word....and that is what has surprisingly made the show quite gripping to me despite the other drama.....ek bhi character doesn't feel superficial.....yeah "Sure, sure" madam is a pain but overall she also fits into the story....aise nahin ki koi token caricature hai. This show actually is a win for storytelling....they haven't relied on token romantic sequences ya dragged out high voltage stuff to get hype....the story actually moves on multiple fronts in almost every epi.....yeh nahin ki sirf Adi-Imlie ke scenes ki zaroorat hai to move it....sabke scenes acche hain....family ke, Pagdandiya mein Meethi ke scenes also even if that psycho Naani is around....then the whole Satyakaam angle.....even the Adi-Malini scenes provide context and background for the past and how it ties to the present.....there are so many plot points to make it an engaging watch....they all fit together and move the story.....that's good storytelling that is mostly missing in most shows that are stuck in tokenism aajkal. +1 i actually feel an attachment to all of the characters aise nahi ke some tracks ko total forward kar do sabka apna individuality hai and that matters they all have layers one dimensional nahi hain characters and all are intresting

Re: Aditya....woh notice sab karta hai Imlie ka even though she isn't really trying to make a place in his life.....but her very existence is taking over everything in his life and that makes him feel helpless and angry. He resentfully labels her kismat ka horrible mazaak.....but he forgets that kismat didn't only loop him into this, it looped her in as well....his entire focus on his own resentments blinds him to her plight many times. On some level, I do feel bad for him....it's terrifying to watch your carefully constructed life slip through your hands in the blink of an eye like this.....he knows Imlie is a good girl, but he is terrified by what she represents....a decision that destiny took for him, that he never asked for. His core nature asks that he be kind to a girl who is going through misfortune....but his helplessness asks that he resent the girl who caused this helplessness in his life.....that is his conundrum.

I guess what sets Adi a bit apart from a typical rude/mean Gul ML also is that he gets emotional in so many of these scenes with Imlie even if he says mean things to her....their convos are so candid....he doesn't really hide some of his most vulnerable emotions from her...he shows her the extent of helplessness he feels....even in anger, there are helpless tears in his eyes many times....even that hospital scene when she talks to him about how faith makes something real and how she will support him in his efforts for Malini, he's just watching Imlie in awe for a bit with a tear running down his cheek before they both get up and walk away from each other. It's like he felt grateful in that moment but he still couldn't find any words to say anything to Imile....thank you or otherwise. And THIS is what makes Imlie dangerous to him.....lol her immense goodness defeats him....how do you fight a soul so pure? He knows somewhere inside he's fighting a losing battle but he can't comprehend the alternative of actually accepting what fate has dealt him in the form of Imlie....so he will continue to struggle.

What I love about all this is how deep their relationship is even without any love involved😆.....so much to analyze about their bond, interactions, the evolution of their equation without any cliched romance factoring in so far *touchwood*

*Edit: Oh forgot to add about Sundar/Bandar....lol yes, most of his scenes with Imlie seem like comedy fillers but I keep getting the feeling that aage jaake family waale will try to get Imlie-Sundar married😆.

yehi tohhhh i think maine yeh already bola ke the fact that he is so normal and alag works big time for him.. the fact that he says jo iske mann main hota hai is so refreshing he doesn;t keep it in his heart and that si the big difference the fact ke he realizes ke harsh ho gaya badtameezi ho gayi . i appreciate ke yeh apne aap ko koi toap chee nahi samjhata and acknowledges that he can make mistakes too ... Yup word about that scene i posted somewhat similar thoughts too you worded it better hehe

@BB and isn't that the best thing the formation of a connection deep down beyond the surface level token conversations and connects *kaale teekax infinity* i love that they both do care for the feelings of the other too aisa tih nahi hai ke adi is unknown to her dard he does try to not keep daantooing her and avoid but then she starts breaking the wall and he has to take the defensive step caz he couldn't allow her to make a place in hsi heart but ab toh ho gaya hai lol
