Yeah that first wedding was lit, cinematography and scale-wise obviously not the best context, but visually stunning. Makes me sad that their second wedding was so understated with awful styling (tho Anika's purple look was lovely, Shivaay looked like a Daler Mehndi knock-off 🤣). And their third wedding in Redux was even weirder 🤪

😆 For someone who has followed most of Gul's shows, I watch a scene and can totally pick up when the other show fans are gonna barge in screaming "COPY" to her. With IB, she really outdid herself in trying to show the progression of some relationships. Her PH is definitely great at visuals and all ... so I just don't understand how they do at the styling. The second wedding looks were god awful 👎🏼. I don't know what Shivani was thinking lol. (the purple look was just for that designer promotion and wasn't even used for the wedding )

But Gul could NEVER pull a Veeranshu. She has a bit of a basic mould when it come to an ML and it just wouldn't cut it.Which is why I kinda would want SharBhi to do a show with her and then also not. Also, it doesn't seem like Surbhi and her ended on good terms so that wouldn't happen even if I wanted to.

I have watched Qubool hai but only till KSG was a part of it. And yes, you can see his elements in shivaay, no idea about the barun sobti show, tried to watch a few times since everyone said their chemistry is explosive but i just couldn't, no reason!!

I wonder what exactly was shivani shirali's thought process while styling..she went from shivika's ahmazing dhaadi ka joda to that weird bronze and blue atrocity!!

WORD! WORD! I keep imagining how Lalit would direct VaNi and would take their scenes to a whole new level!

@Bold Same. Boggles me how those hideous outfits were approved. If I had to get married in that, I'd cancel the entire thing.

@bold 1 - yes, same. I feel her MLs are all a bit too toxic, and that SSO was probably an exception amongst the bunch, in terms of redemption.

Then again, I never thought EK could pull off a Veeranshu either, so I guess it can be done. If EK decided to use Veer as the mould going forward, I would not complain.

@bold 2 - yeah, and Gul is not a fan of repeating jodis/actors as far as I can see (apart from Sobti I guess). She's not even involved in the QH 2.0 reboot - it's a diff production house altogether, which I find strange.

It's really a rock and a hard place situation for us. We want to pick and choose the best of both PHs - the IB vibes but the Veeranshu model. All wrapped up in Lalit Mohan's direction and N5 styling, with SharBhi, of course. We'll definitely not be disappointed 🤣

This is true. You have to have the awareness (as a show) that you're portraying a lead who is or has toxic tendencies, and then you have to show a gradual and believable shift away from that. Proper redemption and repenting is required, he can't just wake up one day and be like "mummy, I'm cured!".

God I hated Shivaay at times, but by the end, you really see how much he has grown and changed for the better. Like you say, it wasn't one single "ML REDEEMS HIMSELF" track, it was just happening in the background of all the other things going on in their lives. It was a daily process, with some set backs, but essentially moving forward all the time.

I still remember Shivaay's reaction when he learned the truth of the Daksh situation. He was devastated with the way he'd behaved, and he spent a long time disparaging himself. It was after that really that his shift towards fully trusting Anika began.

I'd say there's a similar case for Veer too. Not that he needed redemption, exactly, but that his arc was about moving from obsessing about Bani to moulding in their relationship in a way that allowed her the freedom to fall for him (rather than forcing it). He tried the heavy-handed tactics and then he just settled into the relationship by giving her patience and time and love, all the while respecting her choices even if he disagreed. Like Bani once said, he understood the importance of their marriage, and moulded himself to fit within it without worrying about his ego.

It's not like veeranshu is dhoodh ka dhula..chalo we agree he doesn't know about trafficking but he is still involved in illegal and potentially bad stuff..

Still all of that can somewhat be justified because you haven't shown his character as human. He is shown as a predator in human world. So that is something i can still digest and handle!!

Someone on twitter was ranting against his character recently, although the way she spoke was so wrong but somehow her points kinda hit.

We get that he fell madly in love with bani but his way of courting her was soo wrong man..stalking her, following her and making fun of and threatening her Bf ( although jai was never anything to bani) . But if a norma human girl has someone who behaves like this with her, she's gonna run like mad in the opposite direction.

But you see him slowly imrpove and change and realise ki pyaar ko zabardasti nahi payaa ja skta

Veer's character also had that arc...(although again the writing)😪. You see that happening very subtly and very glaringly when he gives her the option to leave!!

Sadly I think so too 😭 and I also think the bomb blast thing won't be until the finale (though how that factors into this new look Bani thing I have no idea) I'm getting tragic ending vibes here and I. DO. NO. WANT.

Who knows yr...i would ahve never thought that ekta would give us a show where her ml is more jaandaar than her fl..but that happened!! But yeah gul's heroes have these basic features..rich spoilt, arrogant and truck load of trust issues!!

But then i would have never guessed that gul could produce a show like imlie, again I've not watched it but it seems different from her usual ones!!

I want to believe surbhi and her ended on good terms because she produces good shows yr and as a surbhi fan i want to her to cast her again and also because the issue happened with her fans🤭 but who knows!!

Yes. Gul's MLs are usually those alpha, MCPs we speak of. SSO fared really well in the redemption department, emoted wonderfully by Nakuul too. ShivIka did the slow burn really amazingly, special ship to me. A close second is the second generation of QH... Aahil as an ML had a low uhh 'toxic' meter but he paid for those in a way that was satisfying and made rooting for the couple so much better.

@Bold . You're actually right, didn't think EK couldn really create an ML like Veeranshu. Although she really did well with Karan Luthra in the veryyyyyy beginning of KDB and I was like Mmm, this is a good ML. Obviously, destroyed it later. So I did think she had the potential.

A pick and choose scenario would be absolutely perfect - with the combo you have mentioned would be bombbb! But if SharBhi even comes together again, woh hi bohot hoga. Oooooh, speaking of bombs. Did they really edit out the entire blast sequence? I was really counting on that 🥺

About QH 2.0, Gul spoke in an IV that the logistics didn't work out so the reboot is being handled by a co-producer (I think?) who also worked on QH1.
