Your take on the movie Shuddh Desi Romance?

I quite like this movie, it's a nice rom-com. I liked Parineeti's and Vaani's characters a lot - they represent the new face of the modern Indian woman and are not bound by rigid rules or patriarchal conventions. Also, the quest to find love within a modern framework is authentically portrayed.

I haven't found too many people who like the movie. What's your take on it?

I didn't like it the first time I watched but now I kinda do. The comedy and gags in the movie are actually funny and not cringy or offensive at all.In fact if you watch closely you will find some jokes are very cleverly executed. Pari was good, Vaani gave her best performance till now and she looked so fresh and cute God knows why she agreed to butcher her face. Sushant as Raghu was adorable too.I wish he would have gone for more such light comic roles. The small town boy next door suited him a lot. I think he could have done amazing g in the kind of roles Ayushman does. He was very organic back then and didn't to that weird lip biting thing he developed later. Also the music of that movie is so underrated. Chanchal man ati random is a Bop.. It's often played in reality TV shows

Also I think he looked his best in this era. Nice pixie cut with lean body and youthful face. I didn't like when he bulked up for Raabta nd Drive.

He was good-looking to a fault. I liked him in MS Dhoni and Sonchiriya the most.

I liked that they portrayed the locations of Jaipur in a more playful way that it is like you feel like you are in Jaipur through the localities.

I didn't like it. I never found it crude or offensive. I actually found the message that marriage isn't the ultimate destination for everyone and two people can have a fulfilling relationship without marriage. Unfortunately, the movie was a hot mess with flaky confused characters. You simply cannot root for them or want them to be happy. The movie could have been so much better if it had a better script and character development.
