This is off topic but I really wanted to know that does EK and Balaji have a lot of influence in the Tv industry as I remember there was this actor pulkit Samarat iopposite mouni in one of her old shows. Ekta had issues with him and said that she will make sure nobody works with him and when Iqbal left her show on Star, Star banned him on their channel and Ek also didn’t give him a show for years. I think Rajeev from KTH also got similar treatment
I remember that. Pulkit's character in kyunki saas bhi... and his pairing with mouni in it was the reason I started watching it (till I quit when in typical ekta fashion they were separated and then later pulkit was replaced), but then I got to know about what happened between him and ekta. Apparently it was trusted people in ekta's production house that were giving pulkit a tough time and even filling ekta's ears against him... apparently he said this in an interview himself. For years he was missing from the industry but then he reappeared in smaller movies. He was never able to get back to tv.
From what I have heard, ekta is pretty influential in tv industry. Even being in her shows as a supporting actor can be a great help for a tv actor's career because apparently her production house is pretty great at rewarding actors by maintaining good professional relationships with them and hiring people who have worked in their productions before. Why else do you often see the same bunch of actors re-appearing in balaji produced shows but very rarely see those same actors in any other production house's show? Because many tv actors end up becoming quite loyal towards balaji production house because apparently it's also a really good place to work at and balaji loves rehiring the same actors they've worked with before. Look at ronit roy who has rarely done any tv show with any other production house than balaji.
