It’s just here where the supporting lead characters are somewhat non existent and that’s why it’s not very exciting as it could have been. Supporting leads are known to help the show keep the audience glued to the screens and that’s kind of just not there in this season.

I only watched a few episodes of Naagin 1, so I can't comment on that. But as far as Naagin 3 and Naagin 4 are concerned, I observed the brothers and the sisters of heroes did not have much to do. In Naagin 3, Andy, Kuhu, her husband, RJ, and Bultu were not important characters even though there were a lot of characters in the show. Similar thing happened in Naagin 4, also, in my opinion, Naagin 4 was extremely boring and uninteresting.

Yes, I know how a peahen looks. The tail feathers of peahens are dull coloured and much shorter than peacocks. The makers probably showed long and attractive feathers because they looked beautiful. I mean I am not saying it is right to show a peacock's appearance for a peahen. But I think peacock's attractiveness can be the reason for showing Mayuri in that manner.

Bold@ Yes, I said that about Mayuri. Peahens do not look dangerous in real world at all.

Bold@ I completely agree about Ponky and Monil!

Bold@ Who is Manisha? Did you mean Meera?

Sorry for the typo.. I did mean Meera.

Naagin 3 has Vikrant and Vish as supporting leads. The ones you mentioned are extras.

Same goes for Naagin 4, the supporting leads were Manyata and Nayantara, everyone else were either villains or just extras.

I don't really understand the concept of these extras shown in Naagin's seasons. Why do the makers introduce so many characters if they do not contribute anything to the show?

Generally, Naagin only has these big casts - extra family members and friend circle only for these side characters to be killed first as the Naagin begins on her 'revenge'. This season they didnt go this route. Which I do actually like. But then these characters aren't really given much screen space or importance either. But my confusion is the actors who signed up for these role - in the past most of them have taken far meatier roles that have at least more prominence in the story. Actors like Gaurav, Utkarsh, Kajal Pisal, and even Jay's sister (sorry I forgot her name). This time they signed up for just being mere props? Seems confusing and weird to me.

I was never expecting every character to be given much importance but there are a few they need to show in some more detail. Such as Meera, Tapish, Balwant, Shukla and perhaps even the other Cheel brothers (I honestly am unable to make up mind about the Cheel brothers). These characters have strong dynamics with the leads.. By fleshing out these characters, imo, they could have added more depth to the story & characters, have more emotional connect while covering Sharad's absence as well.

I completely agree about Meera and Tapesh! I just can't take Ponky and Monil seriously. I won't mind if these characters die. At least the makers can work on the characterisation of Daksh.

I won't say everything is a mess. But the characterisation of supporting characters is definitely very poor. There are also some aspects of the show that need to be improved.
