It's as though Ishita submit to her destiny. She didn't fight it. Is that a realistic portrayal?
I suppose the makers wanted to convey that the ability to bare a child is the only thing lacking in her life but with the goodness of her character, she will prove to be the best mother there can be. Otherwise, she's a sane woman with a sober mind.
I'd like you all to give your opinions. I'd love to know.
Both Raman and Ishita dealt with their heartbreaks differently. Raman puts up a facade of arrogance and rudeness to guard his inner vulnerable self. Ishita tends to overcompensate to overcome her feeling of inadequacy due to her infertility. Perhaps that is why she warms up to people so easily. I was watching today's rerun. Today was the episode where Ishita misunderstands that the chits Mihir wrote were written by Raman for her. When she reads the chits, her heart melts..I guess if the chits were really written by Raman, she would have tried to forgive him and move on after some initial hesitation. Also she could warm up to the Bhallas too very easily after their marriage in spite of the tensed relationships between their families in the past.

Absolutely! You've hit the nail on the head. Ishita over compensated for her inadequacy by giving so much love to everyone around her that no one could ever point a finger at her despite her health condition. She felt that love could suffice for what she dealt with.
She felt her love and goodness of heart would win hearts. I suppose she never really felt incomplete herself or never felt she lacked anything. If that had been the case, Ishita wouldn't have wanted to adopt. She had natural maternal instincts.
I suppose her behaviour stemmed from her insecurity.
Ishita herself said...all because of her family.
She already experienced true and sincere love in the form of her parents and sister, that, one unfaithful love didn't make her give up on entire relationships.
Being in a loving family, I get it, if someone betrays me ( pray never such things happen), I still know love exists, because I have already tasted it, coming from my family.
Coming to Ishita, after Subbu's chapter, she never dreamt of a prince charming like normal girls of her age do. She was kind of uninterested and unsure of a relationship with a man, only in her case, but she still believes in love and marriage, given how she is so fond of her amma-appa and bala-vandu.
She was unsure of love happening to her again, but her entire world is still the same.

As opposed to Raman who made his supposed love the centre of his universe. Thanks for your input @--QUEEN-- it's made me understand Ishita's psyche.
