So one day Sanjay saw Kavya and Vanraj in a restaurant, holding hands and telling they love each other ..He confronts Vanraj but he tries to convince Sanjay saying Kavya is feeling depressed so he was just supporting her ..Sanjay tells Vanraj that Anupamaa is like his sister and he won't tolerate anyone hurting her. He is quiet because he knows that Anu will be shattered if she comes to know about the affair.!!

Where’s the logic in hiding something that will devastate her when it finally blows up in her face? At least thinking of ways to supporting her through the crisis she would face and telling her is a better way to handle it than just glaring at Vanraj and moving the goalpost and avoid dealing with it.
