Honestly, I don't know. And this constant glorification of them infuriates me. This whole 'broken-yet-good-guy-who-needs-ladylove-to-fix-him' trope is so done to the death.
The worst part is Kabir Singh type characters are passed off in the name of passionate and intense lovers and audiences, women especially, go crazy. This is an extremely unhealthy trend and needs to stop.
I am not saying that don't portray such characters because obviously real life is not all rosy. Please do portray flawed and problematic characters but how the scrip deals with him is the key. Preesha not retaliating is sending the wrong message. It's undertone is that what Rudraksh is doing is not right but not entirely wrong either, placing him somewhere in the grey zone. THIS IS NOT GREY. Any person or action which takes away a woman's agency can never be grey. It's plain and simple incorrect.
You said it Sis, you said it!
101% what I wanted to say this exactly!
