Kavya is a real puzzling character for me. In the beginning I thought maybe she is not a typical vamp, but with every passing episode I feel she is no less than that MCP Vanraj!
At first I thought she is having an affair with Vanraj because she is lonely in her life. But there have been revelations in the show which have completely changed my perception towards her.
It seems that her affair with Vanraj goes back in time when his kids were young, and seeing what Aniruddh said, it seems he never wanted to separate from her, he was unsuccessful in his career and this caused tensions in their relationship. He was not an abusive husband and his character turned for a worse realizing his wife is having an affair with her colleague.
Having an extra marital affair did not make Kavya feel at all guilty, rather she berates Aniruddh for his failures. She is so proud of her being modern and independent, but is still living in Aniruddh's house. Leech!
Then came the revelation that Vanraj proposed her for marriage a long time back but she refused because she wanted to concentrate on her career! Meaning, she did not want the responsibilities of a family and give all her time to herself and satisfy her physical needs with Vanraj. Very cleverly she got close to his family so that they like her without taking any responsibilities for them.
Later when abused by her husband she used it to her favor by running into Shah's house. And I am not sure if Aniruddh actually beat her or was she injured in their tussle as an accident. He said sorry to her and the flashback showed she got hurt as an accident. It was then she realized that having physical intimacy is one thing but being accepted by everyone as a couple is another. Her guilt towards Anupama was so short lived that i could not even have a change of heart for her.
And now she wants Anupama to be out of her way and marry Vanraj in the midst of his son's wedding plans. She thinks rejecting V's proposal back in time was okay but him rejecting her's is not okay!
She is a bloody parasite!
