Their argument makes everyone that knew SSR was smoking weed and didn't report him to the police a criminal who should be denied bail. That includes all his friends, co-workers, former girlfriends and family who knew. It's not a valid argument. If they don't have the evidence to hold her or a valid legal argument then she should be released on bail.

That's not how the law works though? You can't charge someone in a case without merit ( this particular harbouring a criminal one) just to hold them back while you try finding other evidence against her or use her for information for other cases. If this were the case, then anyone can be accused of anything while the police take their sweet time.

If their main target is catching the peddlers, that should be the charge itself. That she needs to be investigated further. That's it.

Instead they are setting a dangerous precedent which has the potential to incriminate anyone who knows and lives with a 'druggie'. One can't make special cases or laws. Every argument here can be used as a precedent by the NCB and Indian law/lawyers in the future.

According to NCB, its your duty to inform the police if you know anyone is using 'drugs'. If you don't, you are committing a crime. Everyone knew Rhea was harbouring a 'criminal' and Sushant was a 'criminal' yet nobody said anything.. so according to NCB's logic arrest everybody.

Then on the same law would be applicable on anyone who has even met a drug addict by mistake. Members of IF who are discussing drug addiction of non interrogated bollywood celebs would be arrested too as we are also harbouring addicts.

Less than 1% chance on that. Highly unlikely as the case to release them on bail has already gone to the court. With all the leaks, they are not even trying to catch any real culprits.

This case is in Bombay High Court, right? Why will an agency hide evidence from High court? NCB won't punish Rhea, Court will

They are not mentioning anything about Rakul Preet's statements or Rhea procuring drugs before SSR

If they had any evidence, they would put that in front of Bombay High Court, They are only accusing her of Harbouring SSR. Agency doesn't hide things from Court

No mention of Dubai syndicate or any other drug syndicate in their arguments, it's only about procuring drugs for SSR

One more important point is that Rhea retracted her statement and this is not South Indian masala movie where Singham is trying to catch Vitthal

If there was any evidence of Rhea consuming drugs or procuring for anyone else than SSR then NCB would have produced it in front of the court
