Rape is sexual assault. It is a heinous crime of the highest order. It has nothing to do with demolition of a house.

If a grown up has learnt the wrong definition of rape then what will the children of the country learn?

It’s indeed a cringe worthy metaphor that KR has used.

But 2 points in her favour (esp since she doesn’t get any support from anyone!)

1. She says “raped mentally and psychologically”.. sort of justified if you see what they did to her home-office. She is a self made woman, made hard decisions and has put her reputation at stake. The demolition of the home-office was the shiv Sena goons’ displaying their patriarchic mindset and is unequivocally condemnable.
2. From her own previous accounts, she has been subjected to rape ( drugged and got intimate with character artist). So she really knows what rape is and hence her metaphor may be coming more out of experience rather than a supposed understanding of how it might have felt to be raped.

Well Salman actually said it in a joking way while Kangana meant it seriously. Plus she is actually a rape victim herself so it seems ridiculous for us to take so much offence when she says it

I’m not even surprised that Kangana would equate watching her house get demolished to being raped. This is the same person who would probably describe stalking as close range people watching
