BTW Your signature says you’re leaving? Is that happening soon?

One can always mould themselves into characters and alter their looks accordingly. For example, Hrithik did many looks for Dhoom 2, nobody mocked him for it. In fact he got a lot of praise.

But here it looked amateurish and fake, which is why I thought he was horribly miscast.

You can find Ash miscast in Jodhaa Akbar, I have no issues lol. It's a matter of personal preference.

And yes I am leaving soon. :)

well according to Anand Kumar himself, they had it pretty rough in the beginning.. I mean the guy literally "raised" 30 kids each year without taking any income or donations/financial support etc. It's a pretty remarkable achievement and a very noble deed👏

I dont think he raised them. It is just a tuition centre like Excellence was in the movie. He wasn't as poor irl as shown in the movie

Replying to your PM here because I can't access my PMs thanks to a high WL increase. Leaving precisely for the same reason, because the moderation on this site is corrupt. It is being handled by a couple of fangirls who are super biased and can't do a fair and impartial job.

Making Hrithik's face kala was enough torture for me.

No, it was to make him look like Anand. Anand who chose HR to portray him over others vying for the role.

It was top notch casting - he's brilliant in the role. He caught the essence, humanity and passion of the man which is always more important than the surface.

Anand kumar himself met Hrithik and said he was absolutely satisfied with the casting, when the man himself has no issues... 🤷🏻‍♀️

Amand Also met akshay and there were talks of him being considered as well, but anand himself said he thought hrithik was then perfect fit for the role

Its not about the casting but I couldn’t connect with HR’s Anand Kumar at all. I thought S30 was one of his weakest works.War was a far more entertaining and enjoyable movie for me.

Though I am super glad that the movie did well and he was able to come out of his lean phase and also shut all the evil people who tried to take advantage of his sister’s situation and what not and drag him down during the movie promotions. He owned 2019 and how!

Anand CHOSE Hrithik? I don't think he had the privilege to do that, and him saying that he's satisfied with the casting doesn't mean much. Like he has the option to say that he's not satisfied with the casting when they are making a film to honour him.😆

Even if he was really satisfied with the casting, that doesn't mean other people too have to be satisfied with it. Because how we see ourselves and how others see us could be very different. Maybe Anand was happy that a handsome man like Hrithik was portraying him on screen. Something which isn't in real. Whatever be it, Hrithik didn't look the part. He had to be turned brown to look poor. He made that up with his performance, but still the casting wasn't top notch or perfect.

Yes, Anand chose Hrithik and not for looks but because of his passion for the project. Yes, he had that power. He's discussed it in many interviews.

Again, Anand is brown and not because he's poor.

Have to give it out to Mukesh Chabra for casting the film so perfectly. Look at the reel and real images and you see they are spot on.
