So I had a lot of time during my flight so I watched Super 30 and it was an amazing movie and the casting was top notch as well. A lot of well-deserving TV actors and Amit Sadh. The movie's casting was perfect but I don't agree with certain aspects of the movie though. They somehow tried to show the rich kids in bad light but as the rich kid in the movie said that its not his fault that he was born rich

I don't think they showed the rich kids in a bad light - just showed that they were a bit oblivious in their privilege - which is why Anand asks if he's eaten today and points out his student haven't. They needed him more. It's the system they're showing in a bad light, not any of the kids.

The film showed during the Basanti No Dance number that the rich kids weren't looking down on them as they applaud and join in on the fun - that it was their own mental block that they felt less than which messed with their heads when taking the test.

I agree the casting was top notch, there's not a bad or even mediocre performance in the bunch even among all the first time actor kids. Hrithik is superb and supporting cast is fantastic. My favorite in support was the father played by Virendra Saxena. He was so charming & warm - just wonderful. I loved his chemistry with Hrithik but also the small playful moments with his wife and their small family.

Nandish and Amit Sadh were really good too and of course Abhijeet. Even that girl's husband was good too.

Loved this movie!! The father and son relationship was so cute and touching and one of the most human ones in recent times seriously.. the story was so well written and you could tell that it’s a lived one and real.. so many details like Anand calling him by his name Eishwar, the brothers relationship thru out the movie, but specially the Paisa/montage scenes, the break up with Mrunal (like how ppl usually broke off at that time, nothing filmy, just realistic), the comically false “me-too” allegation scene 😆, even Pankaj’s corrupt politician had “real” plans (extending his property into a wedding hall thru education dhandha, lol) I mean he wasn’t some just-for-the-heck-of-it villain.. Aw man, I have seen it at least three times since it released and have liked it more each time.. so glad HR did this movie 🥰

Many people thought that HR couldn't do the role of a lower-class person but i think the movie went a bit too OTT with showing complete poverty for Anand especially in the second half.

well according to Anand Kumar himself, they had it pretty rough in the beginning.. I mean the guy literally "raised" 30 kids each year without taking any income or donations/financial support etc. It's a pretty remarkable achievement and a very noble deed👏

Makers had to paint Hrithik with Brown colour to make him look poor so not really a top notch casting.

The leading protagnoist itself was a miscast. Bronzer blast!

Yes. Altering external appearance to try to be more authentic is a sure sign of a miscast. I bet everyone who’s been here a while can remember exactly how many times we’ve heard you complaining about how Aish was miscast as Jodha because she didn’t look the part and they had to make her wear contacts to change the color of her eyes to be more believable.

BTW Your signature says you’re leaving? Is that happening soon?

Have to give it out to Mukesh Chabra for casting the film so perfectly. Look at the reel and real images and you see they are spot on.
