To understand the reason behind this ban we need to read their notification:

On September 4, PEMRA banned the repeat telecast of ARY Digital and Hum TV drama serials Ishqiya and Pyar Ke Sadqay citing that the content of the dramas is against the ‘morals’ of society.

The notification issued by the regulatory body on Friday stated that the ban has been imposed under Section 27 of PEMRA Ordinance.

Section 27 (prohibition of broadcast media or distribution service operation) states that broadcasting or re-broadcasting or distributing of any programme is prohibited if PEMRA is of the opinion that the programme is p**nographic, obscene, vulgar or is offensive to the commonly accepted standards of decency.

On the 10th of Seb it banned Jalan too under the same section. 😊

I agree with the ban because sometimes such topics encourage bad men to take adventage of being under the same roof with mehrams , who aren't by blood. I mean like : DIL , SIL . I remeber watching a drama on BOL : Dilara , which has a woman interested in her husband's son .😲 Such topics are against the morals of the society. That's why I am against them.

No. It isn't ok of course. I was shocked while watching MPTH too after that hotel room scene.😲

Let us face it , such things happen in society. But makers should not show intimacy nor go against morals of society and Islam. I know extramarital affairs are forbidden in Islam.. but they become even worse when happen between mehrams. 😔

In the past I've seen few dramas which show intimacy between leads , more than the way they should be shown in Pakistani dramas, such as : Main Sitara and Ek Nazar Meri taraf . I guess PEMRA ppl are getting more strict nowadays. That's why !

In past there were many bold scenes in many dramas like Vaal, Chup Raho, maney na yeh dil, ishq junoon deewangi, meri jaan and many more.

The problem is that these topics are there in every drama. Like Sister behind same man is there in jalan, Kasf and Saraab, Extra Matrial affair in GPM and BEDS. Ek yan do dramas same story k hoon tu its ok but most of drama have same concept.

I think 2 sisters fighting for the same guy is ok since he isn't already married to one of them. Once he marries some of them he is forbidden from having an affair with the other.

Such dramas cause a trouble in many house. Sisters may start doubting eachother. Yes. We do tend to believe that what happens in dramas may happen for us. So we open our eyes. If I see in a drama that a girl snatched the husband of her friend, I won't trust my friends. Imagine this happening between sisters, or brothers. I know not many ppl are intellegent to think it is just a drama. Or that it is just for entertainment. Many housewives and youngesters watch them and may relate to them.🤓

Yup there are very few people who take dramas as dramas only. Otherwise definitely they have an impact on us. The girl like muskh in Raaz e ulfat is gave wrong message but drama is giving good message as she will suffer and all girl like muskh who thinks that their lovers are more loyal than their parents should learn from it that no one is loyal to you than you parents.

Girls will always be girls. They will fall for boys no matter what. But this drama teaches them the important of choosing a friend, and listening to their parents. Yes. It is a good message. And even dramas like Jalan send a message to the society too. Coz Nisha was going to suffer in the end, but sometimes the negativities of such dramas are more than the positivities. In Ishqia we ended up sympathyinh with the blackmailer more than the victim!😳 Same goes for Deewangi. I think such dramas encourage men to continue their bad acts, as in the end they'll get sympathy. Also those dramas which show cheating men being accepted by their wives , and abusive husbands being forgiven.

Exaclty but all girls are not same yeah I admit unfortunately nowadays most of young girls are like that but definitely exceptions are there.

Yeah jalan would be a Good message giver as Nisha will suffer in the end.

For me ishqiya is more bad than jalan. Where a bil had crossed his limits. I agreed that drama makers portray these anti heroes in such way that a kidnapper, killer like Sultan, Blackmailer like hamza, marital rapist like Bashar momin are being liked by audience and they were able to got sympathy. Dekha jayee tu yeh anti heroes wrong message dy rahy hein.

I don't think Ishqia is worse than Jalan. Because the guy didn't take adventage of his Sil (ex lover) by blackmailing her, he just saught revenge from her😔. In Jalan bil had an affair with his Sil benfitting from her being with him in the same house.. she seduced him and he submitted to it. 🤢

I agree that showing bad guys being forgiven or redeemed sends a bad message.. on the other hand bad girls don't have such endings: either they die, or become mental.🤪 Little do they end up alone or redeem themselves.🤔
