You got it right - Katrina was not raised in India so she completely missed the memo that desi men, esply ones who are super attached to their moms like RK, never EVER marry against their mothers' wishes. If the mother doesn't like you, then that's it, your goose is cooked.

To give RK his due, he did try to make it work, he moved out and tried to be independent. But given his f*cked up family dynamic, where Neetu depended on him so much emotionally, he was never going to be able to cut the cord.

Honestly, I dont even think Kat regrets this now. She seems super happy and well adjusted with how her life has turned. Plus these days, women have a lot of options, I know normal, non celebrity women who have settled down into their late 30s and have had kids as late as 40-41 with no complications. In Kat's case I'm sure she has access to the world's best healthcare and resources to make this a reality if she really wants it. Of course it's not ideal but you just make the best of what life gives you.

Exactly. It's the way it is. The mother has to approve otherwise there's no point especially for a mummy's boy like RK. The woman deliberately cropped out Kat's photo whereas she poses happily side-by-side with Alia. How could Kat not have gotten the hint? Alarm bells were ringing and yet she was still hopeful RK would marry her...whilst Neetu clearly didn't want her for her son??!!! I disagree with you on RK. I think he used Katrina maybe unconsiously as a form of rebelling against his parents and moved in with her to show that he was independant; He may have been in love with her initially but whatever they had turned sour because of his immature and narcissistic behaviour. It's quite obvious. Regardless of Neetu, this relationship was going nowhere.

I think Kat has definitely learnt a thing or two from dating a douche like RK, but one can't help but wonder if she's making the same mistake with Vicky..Yes he's technically from a more similar background than her and his parents seem more chill, but the problem is he's younger, at the beginning of his career whilst she's at the closure of her's he doesn't really let on much. He could be in love with her fame and not her. I just hope Katrina has her eyes wide open this time and calls it quits if she sees it not going anywhere. She's wasted enough of her time with actors. Ofcourse, Katrina with her money could freeze her eggs and have a biological child regardless but everyone wants things the traditional way.

It's a shame she never thought of broadening her choice and dating outside bollywood. Who would want to date an actor anyway? There are a lot of insecurities that come with that.

So many people on this thread acting like they know Ranbir/Katrina personally & what went on in their relationship.

Also people acting like Ranbir is some robot who only sucks the life out of girls and has absolutely zero feeling.

And big deal that she isn't married. Ranbir isn't married either. Let them marry when they want to. Even if they don't get married, it doesn't mean they can't date different people and be happy.

With no disrespect to women or the victims but the fact is that women are way easier to manipulate than men. That's the reason why you see a lot of abusers having girlfriends despite their abusive behaviour while RK is not an abuser, everyone knows that he is a Casanova, playboy who likes to change his gf after every 3 or 4 years and Katrina wasted her peak while being with him

Unlike men, our clocks start ticking at 35 and fertility goes drastically down and then 40 falls of a cliff. men-they can have babies at 70. Quite a few are freezing their eggs. Expensive, but in western countries, upper middle class can afford to do. That is a sad reality for women. Now there are women who don't want kids which is fine. But I do know women who are 40s/50s and really, really regret not having kids-because they can't now-they have crossed that age. One women even went egg donor route-I never understood that-but she said at least it will be husband's kid.

Sperm quality falls off after 35 too. There's higher chances of having diseased children if men have kids at a later age. Sperm donor clinics don't even accept sperm from 35+ men. It's not just women.

True. But men can keep producing kids. That race team owner just had a kid at 89. Us women, 35 starts getting tough and 40 and above very, very tough-close to impossible.

nowadays at least in western countries women are just like men in terms of career-they are more worried about studies, career, going up the corporate ladder are ambitious and then it collides with biology . men on the other hand-just marry a 25 year old woman at 50 and presto you have a family and someone to take care of kids too.

Not good or bad, but many of these single or married/childless women I met just had regrets no one told them-nowadays though lot of information around on the net etc. So at least most are aware. Now some really don't want kids-which is fine.

The woman I was talking about using the egg donor route was only 37 when she got married and tried so many fertility treatment, had a few miscarriages early on and they told her egg donor was best option. her donor was 21 and yeah was white woman. But first attempt she got pregnant and had a beautiful boy.

it is just something to ponder for us women. I was lucky in that regards-had arranged marriage, had kids, moved abroad and after they turned 7, went to a software training institute and now in iT too . Just worked out.

Men who have kids at that late of an age 50's-70s are incredibly selfish. Their kids will become fatherless when their dad dies soon.

😲 I didn’t know about this.

But, how come men in their 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s are having kids in western countries and in India in natural way? Do they not have this problem?
